About Company:
Changeroom was established in 2012 with a vision to produce quality human resource solutions. We plan to achieve this by partnering with our clients to provide highly specialized consulting services in the areas of human resources development and business management services.
Job Description:
We are seeking a technically proficient and commercially driven Biomedical Sales Engineer to drive the growth of our medical equipment and healthcare solutions portfolio. In this role, you will bridge the gap between advanced engineering and clinical application. You are not just selling products; you are providing critical diagnostic and life-support infrastructure to healthcare providers. You will be responsible for the entire sales lifecycle—from conducting technical demonstrations for surgeons and hospital administrators to ensuring seamless installation and after-sales support.
Requirements:
1. Technical Consultation & Product Advocacy
Clinical Demonstrations: Conduct high-level technical presentations and live product demonstrations for medical professionals, highlighting the clinical benefits and ROI of our equipment.
Solution Engineering: Analyze hospital/lab requirements to recommend the most appropriate medical technology configurations (e.g., Imaging, Patient Monitoring, or Surgical Systems).
Technical Support: Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients, addressing complex queries regarding equipment specifications, software integration, and safety standards.
2. Business Development & Territory Management
Strategic Prospecting: Identify and acquire new accounts within the assigned territory, targeting public/private hospitals, diagnostic centers, and research institutions.
Tender Management: Lead the preparation of technical bids and commercial proposals for government and private healthcare tenders.
Account Retention: Build long-term partnerships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and hospital procurement heads to ensure recurring business and service contract renewals.
3. Installation & Post-Sale Governance
Pre-Installation Oversight: Collaborate with the engineering team to oversee site readiness (power, space, and environmental requirements) before equipment delivery.
User Training: Conduct training sessions for medical staff (doctors, nurses, and technicians) to ensure the safe and effective use of the technology.
Market Intelligence: Monitor and report on competitor product launches, pricing strategies, and emerging medical technology trends.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education & Experience
Academic Background: Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Medical Electronics, or a related engineering field.
Proven Tenure: Minimum of 3+ years of experience in medical device sales or biomedical service engineering.
Sector Expertise: Strong knowledge of specialized areas such as Radiology, Cardiology, Intensive Care, or Laboratory Diagnostics.
Technical & Personal Skills
Sales Prowess: Proven ability to hit aggressive sales targets and manage long, complex procurement cycles.
Communication: Exceptional ability to explain complex engineering concepts to non-technical stakeholders (e.g., hospital CFOs).
Mobility: Must possess a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel extensively to clinical sites within the assigned territory.
