Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled Mechatronics Maintenance Engineer to oversee the mechanical and electrical health of our production facility. This role is the backbone of our operational efficiency; you will be responsible for ensuring that our automated systems run at peak performance with zero to minimal downtime. You must be equally comfortable interpreting complex circuit schematics as you are fabricating mechanical parts. Your primary goal is to move the facility from reactive repairs to a world-class Predictive and Preventive Maintenance culture.

Requirements:

1. Systems Maintenance & Diagnostics

• Technical Troubleshooting: Resolve all mechanical and electrical maintenance issues on company machinery, providing root-cause analysis for recurring faults.

• Diagnostics & Testing: Install and perform rigorous diagnostic tests on mechatronic systems to identify potential failures before they occur.

• Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret mechatronic circuit blueprints, electrical diagrams, and mechanical schematics to guide repairs and installations.

2. Preventive Maintenance & Optimization

• Downtime Elimination: Develop and implement robust electrical and mechanical maintenance plans designed to prevent costly equipment breakdowns.

• Electrical Efficiency: Optimize energy consumption and machine performance by adjusting electrical settings and fine-tuning automated equipment.

• Documentation: Maintain meticulous records of machine faults, service history, and parts replacement to facilitate data-driven preventive maintenance.

3. Fabrication & Installation

• Part Fabrication: Construct and fabricate specialized machine parts using hand tools, ensuring they meet exact specifications.

• Assembly: Assemble, evaluate, and test new electrical or mechanical equipment during installation or major overhauls.

• Safety & Environment: Maintain an efficient and safe working environment, ensuring all machinery operates within industry safety regulations.

4. Leadership & Training

• Staff Supervision: Oversee and supervise machine operators to ensure equipment is being used according to technical standards.

• Skills Transfer: Train co-workers on safe machine operation, troubleshooting basics, and adherence to industry safety protocols.

Qualifications and Skills:

Experience & Background

• Technical Tenure: 3–5 years of experience in an industrial maintenance role, preferably in a mechatronics or automation-heavy environment.

• Educational Background: Degree or Higher Diploma in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.

Core Competencies

• Dual Mastery: Proficiency in both mechanical (gears, hydraulics, pneumatics) and electrical (PLCs, sensors, circuits) systems.

• Fabrication Skills: Hands-on experience with manual tools and fabrication equipment.

• Safety First: Deep understanding of industrial safety standards and the ability to enforce them on the shop floor.
