Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled DevOps Engineer to play a pivotal role in optimizing and securing our AWS Cloud environment. You will be the architect of our automation strategy, developing robust Terraform modules, Ansible playbooks, and Jenkins pipelines to ensure frequent and reliable software releases. This role demands a blend of software engineering and systems administration, requiring a professional who can build secure networks while automating the deployment lifecycle of cloud-based applications. Requirements:

1. Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Cloud Architecture

• Scalable Infrastructure: Design and manage scalable cloud infrastructure (primarily AWS, with exposure to Azure/GCP) using Terraform for provisioning.

• Network Security: Build and maintain secure network architectures, including VPCs, subnets, and security groups, ensuring compliance with FinTech industry regulations.

• Serverless Execution: Implement and optimize serverless computing architectures using AWS Lambda to drive cost-efficiency and performance.

2. CI/CD & Automation Engineering

• Pipeline Development: Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins to facilitate seamless code integration and deployment.

• Configuration Management: Use Ansible to standardize application provisioning and maintain consistent server environments.

• Scripting & Tooling: Develop custom Python scripts to automate routine tasks, monitor system health, and reduce manual intervention.

3. Orchestration, Monitoring & Security

• Containerization: Manage containerized workloads using Docker, ECS, or Kubernetes (EKS) to ensure application portability and scalability.

• Proactive Monitoring: Set up comprehensive monitoring and alerting systems to detect performance bottlenecks and system failures before they impact users.

• Security Integration: Collaborate with the security team to embed DevSecOps best practices, ensuring all deployments meet stringent financial data protection standards.

Qualifications and Skills:

Certifications & Education

• Professional Credential: Must hold at least one major certification: AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).

• Academic Background: Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

Technical Experience

• Industry Tenure: 3–5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, ideally within the FinTech or financial services sector.

• Linux Administration: Deep experience in administering and hardening Linux servers.

• Tooling Mastery: Proven expertise in Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, and Git workflows.

• Development Skills: Strong proficiency in Python and a working knowledge of SQL and database management.

Soft Skills

• Collaborative Mindset: Ability to work cross-functionally with development and security teams in an Agile environment.

• Problem-Solving: Expert troubleshooting skills for complex deployment and application performance issues.

• Documentation: Commitment to maintaining clear, concise technical documentation for all infrastructure processes.
