Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Senior Civil Engineer to join our dynamic construction team. This role is designed for a leader who excels in the full project lifecycle—from planning and blueprints to the intricate "finishing" stages of high-rise developments. You will be responsible for ensuring that all structures are safe, sustainable, and compliant with rigorous engineering standards. The ideal candidate brings a blend of structural expertise and specialized knowledge in modern façades, aluco boards, and aluminum/glass installations.

Requirements:

1. Structural Integrity & High-Rise Maintenance

• Safety Standards: Ensure every structure is stable, safe, and strictly meets national engineering and regulatory standards.

• Vertical Maintenance: Oversee the long-term maintenance of high-rise buildings, identifying and rectifying structural or aesthetic wear.

• Site Operations: Manage and supervise a specialized 10-man team, focusing on high-quality construction and precision finishing.

2. Specialized Finishing & Façade Management

• Exterior Systems: Provide expert oversight for the installation of aluco boards, modern façades, and glass/aluminum partitions.

• Fit-Out Excellence: Direct the finishing of doors and windows, ensuring seamless integration between structural openings and finishing materials.

• Task Distribution: Monitor ongoing maintenance work and delegate tasks effectively among subordinates to meet project timelines.

3. Strategic Project & Contractor Management

• Procurement & Tendering: Lead contractor management initiatives, including sourcing reliable vendors, evaluating pricing, and managing the tendering process through to completion.

• Design & Analysis: Utilize industry-standard software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D) to analyze data and create/interpret complex blueprints.

• Cost Control: Manage project scopes to ensure infrastructure projects like roads or buildings stay within budget and regulatory constraints.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education & Experience

• Academic Background: HND or B.Sc. Degree in Civil Engineering. (A Master’s Degree is an additional advantage).

• Proven Tenure: 5–6 years of relevant work experience, with a heavy emphasis on building finishing and high-rise maintenance.

• Licensure: Valid license as a Professional Engineer (PE) is required.

Technical Competencies

• Software Mastery: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.

• Engineering Principles: Strong command of math, science, and structural engineering principles.

• Specialized Craft: Hands-on experience in aluco board installation, façade systems, and glass partitions.

Soft Skills

• Leadership: Ability to lead and motivate a diverse construction team.

• Collaboration: Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
