Job Description:

We are seeking a highly creative, trend-obsessed, and agile TikTok Content Creator & Community Handler to architect our short-form vertical video engine in Abuja. This contract position is designed for a digital-native creator who understands that TikTok success relies on rapid hook execution, native platform editing, and participation in cultural subcultures rather than passive corporate broadcasting.

As our dedicated TikTok Handler, you will take full operational ownership of our channel's growth, visibility, and audience engagement. You will bridge the gap between creative smartphone video production and algorithm optimization transforming raw, daily concepts into highly engaging, scroll-stopping videos that humanize our brand, spark viral conversations, and build a dedicated community of active followers.

Requirements:

1. Short-Form Video Architecture & Editing

• End-to-End Content Production: Ideate, script, film, and edit high-retention short-form vertical videos (TikToks, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts) on a daily basis.

• Native Platform Editing: Leverage in-app editing suites, CapCut, or mobile design workbenches to seamlessly integrate fast-paced transitions, on-screen text overlays, automated captions, and trending soundscapes.

• Aesthetic Brand Alignment: Produce highly engaging content that matches daily internet formats while fiercely preserving our baseline brand voice, core values, and corporate goals.

2. Trend Auditing & Algorithmic Optimization

• Real-Time Trend Capture: Monitor the TikTok ecosystem hourly to identify emerging audio tracks, viral challenges, visual formats, and meme templates, adapting them rapidly to our industry context before they saturate.

• Algorithmic Asset Management: Optimize every upload with high-converting hooks, keyword-rich video descriptions, and strategic hashtag arrays to capture maximum traction on the 'For You Page' (FYP).

• Cross-Functional Synergy: Partner with our core marketing and creative teams to brainstorm, plan, and execute broader digital campaigns and product launch waves.

3. Community Management & Engagement

• Active Conversation Facilitation: Monitor incoming comments, direct messages, and video stitches/duets, responding promptly using the brand's distinct social persona to build authentic community relationships.

• Audience Feedback Synthesis: Track video completion rates, view counts, and follower demographics, providing qualitative insights to the team to continuously update our weekly content calendar.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education & Experience Parameters

• Academic Foundation: Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communication, Marketing, Theatre Arts, Media Studies, or any related field. Equivalent practical portfolio mastery will be heavily considered.

• Track Record: 1 to 2 years of active, verifiable experience creating short-form content, managing digital handles, or editing vertical videos.

Technical Competencies & Tool Stack

• Native TikTok Literacy: Exceptional familiarity with TikTok’s inner mechanics—including algorithm triggers, stitch/duet functionalities, sound-licensing parameters, and analytics dashboards.

• Mobile Production Stack: High proficiency using mobile shooting equipment (smartphones, ring lights, wireless lavalier microphones) and advanced mobile editing applications (e.g., CapCut, InShot, VN Video Editor).

• Creative Matrix: Outstanding visual storytelling capabilities, strong scriptwriting/copywriting skills, sharp attention to detail, and a confident on-camera or behind-the-camera creative presence.
