Job Description:
We are seeking a strategic, highly creative, and analytical Social Media Manager to take full ownership of our digital footprint on-site in Lagos. In this role, you will transition our social platforms from mere broadcasting channels into high-engagement, brand-building communities. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of our social media presence—from high-level strategy design and multimedia content production to algorithmic analysis and community growth.
The ideal candidate possesses a distinct narrative flair for storytelling, a deep understanding of social media metrics, and the operational agility to collaborate effectively with design, marketing, and executive teams in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
Strategic Planning & Content Architecture
Strategy Development: Architect and deploy a multi-channel social media strategy designed to increase brand equity, audience growth, and corporate conversion goals.
Content Production: Conceptualize, write, and schedule high-quality, value-driven content across our main digital touchpoints, including Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok, and Twitter/X.
Campaign Activation: Design, execute, and monitor dedicated digital campaigns, product launches, seasonal promotions, and paid advertising initiatives.
Community Engagement & Brand Safety
Audience Interaction: Actively engage with our digital community—moderating comment sections, responding promptly to direct messages, and building authentic follower relationships.
Brand Guardrails: Collaborate cross-functionally with graphic designers and content teams to ensure all creative assets align rigidly with internal brand guidelines, typography, and tone of voice.
Competitor Tracking: Conduct routine competitive landscape analysis and monitoring to pivot our social messaging proactively.
Data Analytics & Paid Performance
Performance Reporting: Monitor social algorithms, extract performance data from platform analytics engines, and compile comprehensive monthly reports detailing audience growth, engagement rates, and attribution metrics.
Paid Media Optimization: Allocate, manage, and optimize dedicated social media advertising budgets to ensure maximum return on ad spend (ROAS) and quality lead generation.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education & Background
Degree: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related discipline.
Track Record: Proven, verifiable experience operating as a Social Media Manager, Brand Specialist, or similar digital agency role.
Core Competencies & Tool Stack
Platform Mastery: Deep structural knowledge of the native algorithms, posting mechanics, and audience demographics of LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter/X.
Creative Software: Proficiency using standard content creation and design software, such as Canva or the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Illustrator).
Analytics Fluency: Comfortable navigating native analytics toolkits (e.g., Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn Analytics) alongside standard third-party scheduling platforms (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, or Sprout Social).
Digital Fundamentals: A foundational understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and broader inbound digital marketing methodologies is highly advantageous.
Soft Skills
Storytelling: Exceptional written, verbal, and conceptual storytelling skills geared toward a professional audience.
Time Management: Highly disciplined approach to managing a fluid content calendar and meeting tight publishing deadlines independently.
