Job Description:
We are seeking a high-caliber, strategic-minded Senior Business Development & Broker Relations Manager to lead our market expansion efforts. This role is a blend of aggressive sales execution, technical risk assessment, and high-level relationship management. You will be responsible for architecting annual marketing strategies and monthly action plans that drive profitable growth across both broker-led and direct client segments. The ideal candidate brings a decade of insurance marketing expertise, a robust network of brokers, and the technical credibility to assess risks while ensuring 100% compliance with credit control and regulatory standards.
Requirements:
1. Strategic Growth & Market Intelligence
Marketing Architecture: Develop and execute articulate annual marketing strategies and detailed monthly sales action plans to meet revenue and premium collection targets.
Aggressive Acquisition: Persistently pursue participation in profitable business opportunities within the broker market and other specialized segments.
Intelligence-Driven Sales: Provide actionable market intelligence to identify emerging trends and position the company ahead of competitors.
2. Broker & Client Relationship Management
Broker Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for brokers, sourcing new partnerships while deepening existing ones through networking and technical credibility.
Database Management: Build and maintain a robust database of clients, prospects, and market movements to ensure a data-driven approach to relationship management.
Customer Excellence: Apply customer service principles to assess needs and maintain service quality standards that ensure high policy renewal rates.
3. Technical Risk & Operations Oversight
Risk Assessment: Assist in property inspections and surveys to assess insurance risks (construction type, age, and general condition) before underwriting.
Quality Control: Implement a "zero-error" document policy, meticulously checking all policies and certificates before delivery to clients.
Financial Stewardship: Ensure strict adherence to the company’s credit control policy by following up on outstanding payments and premium collections.
Reporting & Compliance: Prepare rigorous daily, weekly, and monthly reports on production, renewals, and collections for departmental leadership.
Qualifications and Skills:
Experience & Academic Standards
Tenure: 6 to 12 years of proven experience specifically in the marketing of insurance products and services.
Technical Credibility: Demonstrated history of managing complex insurance accounts and navigating industry laws and regulations.
Education: Relevant tertiary qualification in Insurance, Actuarial Science, Business, or Marketing.
Core Competencies
