Job Description:
We are a leading indigenous air compressor servicing company looking for a results-driven Sales Executive to join our Lagos team. This role is designed for a technically-minded sales professional who understands the critical role of compressed air in industrial manufacturing. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and selling high-value industrial equipment and service contracts. If you have a background in science, a passion for industrial sales, and the mobility to navigate the Lagos market, we want you on our team.
Requirements:
1. Industrial Business Development
Lead Generation: Identify and prospect manufacturing plants, oil and gas facilities, and industrial workshops that require air compressor solutions and servicing.
Technical Consultations: Leverage your science background to understand client airflow requirements (CFM/PSI) and recommend the appropriate machinery or service packages.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain a robust pipeline of corporate clients, ensuring high retention through regular site visits and follow-ups.
2. Territory Management & Logistics
Field Sales: Actively visit industrial hubs across Lagos and neighboring regions to conduct product demonstrations and service audits.
Logistics: Utilize your driving skills to ensure timely arrival at client sites for meetings, equipment inspections, and business negotiations.
Time Optimization: Manage a complex schedule of client appointments, reporting, and market research to maximize daily output.
3. Reporting & Market Intelligence
Sales Tracking: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, quotes, and closed deals.
Competitor Analysis: Monitor market trends and competitor pricing in the air compressor industry to help refine our competitive edge.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education & Experience
Academic Background: Minimum of HND or B.Sc. in any Science discipline (Mechanical Engineering or Physics-related backgrounds are a plus).
Proven Tenure: At least 2 years of experience specifically in the sales of industrial equipment (experience with compressors, power generators, or heavy machinery is highly preferred).
Age Range: 23–30 years.
Core Skills & Competencies
Mobility: Excellent driving skills with a valid driver’s license (non-negotiable).
Communication: Ability to explain technical equipment specifications to both procurement officers and site engineers.
Organization: Strong time management skills to handle the logistics of the Lagos industrial terrain.
