Job Description:
I-Train Africa is seeking a high-energy, persuasive, and organized Sales Associate to join our revenue-generating team. This is an entry-level role designed for a "people person" who is eager to master the art of sales, customer engagement, and business development. You will be at the front lines of our mission, turning inquiries into enrollments and prospects into partners. If you are a proactive communicator who loves the thrill of closing a deal and is obsessed with providing a seamless customer journey, this role offers a launchpad for a successful career in sales.
Requirements:
1. Lead Conversion & Engagement
Inbound Follow-up: Rapidly respond to and nurture inbound leads from email, WhatsApp, and social media, guiding them from "interested" to "enrolled."
Professional Outreach: Support business development by engaging prospective schools, organizations, and individuals through tailored messaging and pitch decks.
Customer Journey: Serve as the primary point of contact during the pre-enrollment phase, ensuring every prospect receives timely, clear, and professional information.
2. Sales Operations & Pipeline Management
Data Integrity: Maintain meticulous records of all lead interactions, conversations, and outcomes within our CRM and tracking spreadsheets.
Activity Tracking: Monitor and report on daily/weekly sales activities, ensuring the pipeline is moving toward our monthly conversion targets.
Collaboration: Work closely with the Marketing team to ensure outreach efforts are perfectly aligned with ongoing promotional campaigns and events.
3. Onboarding & Relationship Support
Seamless Transition: Assist with the onboarding process for new participants or corporate clients immediately after conversion to ensure a great first impression.
Enquiry Escalation: Efficiently handle basic enquiries while identifying and escalating complex high-level partnership opportunities to senior leadership.
Feedback Integration: Maintain a positive attitude toward sales targets and use feedback from prospects to help the team refine our sales scripts and approach.
Qualifications and Skills:
Competencies & Attributes
Communication Mastery: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and persuade effectively.
Operational Discipline: Highly organized with a proven ability to follow up consistently—never letting a lead go cold.
Tech Savviness: Comfortable navigating digital tools including Google Workspace (Sheets/Docs), WhatsApp Business, and CRM software.
Goal Orientation: A positive, result-oriented attitude toward meeting targets and exceeding expectations.
Ideal Background
Education: Recent graduates, early-career professionals, or NYSC members with a background in Business, Communications, or Marketing.
Experience: Previous experience in customer service, retail sales, or call center environments is a plus but not mandatory.
Mindset: Proactive, confident, and genuinely passionate about I-Train Africa’s mission of impact-driven education.
