Job Description:

Sefa Minimart Provision Store is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sales Associate to join our team.

As a cornerstone of our community-focused retail environment, the Sales Associate will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining store operations, and contributing to the overall success of our business.

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Greet and assist customers in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner, addressing their inquiries, recommending products, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
• Sales and Transactions: Operate the cash register, process payments accurately, and handle returns or exchanges in accordance with store policies.
• Inventory Management: Assist with restocking shelves, organizing displays, and monitoring inventory levels to ensure products are readily available for customers.
• Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store environment by performing tasks such as sweeping, dusting, and arranging merchandise.
• Product Knowledge: Develop and maintain knowledge of the store’s product offerings, including groceries, household goods, and personal care items, to effectively assist customers.
• Compliance with Policies: Adhere to all company policies, including those related to punctuality, safety, and customer interactions, to uphold the store’s standards and reputation.

Requirements:

• Customer Service Excellence: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with customers in a friendly, respectful, and professional manner, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
• Reliability and Punctuality: A proven track record of punctuality and dependability, with the ability to adhere to assigned work schedules and notify management promptly in case of unavoidable absences.
• Basic Math Proficiency: Competence in handling cash transactions, processing payments, and providing accurate change to customers.
• Organizational Skills: Ability to maintain a clean, orderly, and well-stocked store environment, including restocking shelves and arranging merchandise displays.
• Teamwork: A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and management to support store operations and achieve business goals.

Preferred Attributes:

• Familiarity with retail point-of-sale systems or inventory management processes is advantageous but not required.
• A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn about the store’s product offerings to better assist customers.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not mandatory.
• Experience: No prior retail experience required; however, experience in customer service, retail, or a similar role is a plus. On-the-job training will be provided to ensure success in the role.
• Availability: Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as determined by the store’s scheduling needs.
• Interested candidates must reside in Galadimawa Community in Abuja.
