Job Description:

We are looking for a high-energy, results-oriented Area Sales Manager to lead our growth within the assigned territory. In the beauty industry, visibility is everything. Your mission is to ensure our products are not only on the shelves of every major beauty store and salon but are also positioned to catch the consumer's eye. You will be responsible for hitting aggressive sales targets, managing a network of retail partners and distributors, and executing merchandising strategies that outshine the competition. Requirements:

1. Sales Strategy & Target Achievement

  • Quota Mastery: Drive the team to achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets through strategic territory mapping.

  • Planning: Develop and implement area-specific sales plans that align with the company’s broader market objectives.

  • Data-Driven Growth: Constantly monitor sales performance, analyze emerging market trends, and recommend immediate corrective actions to improve volume.

2. Business Development & Channel Expansion

  • Market Hunting: Proactively identify and capitalize on new business opportunities by onboarding new retail partners, high-end salons, and beauty supply stores.

  • Relationship Stewardship: Build and maintain "first-name" relationships with key distributors and store owners to ensure our brand remains their top priority.

  • Channel Diversification: Explore and open new sales channels, including corporate partnerships or specialized beauty boutiques.

3. In-Store Excellence & Merchandising

  • Visibility & Placement: Negotiate for "prime real estate" in stores—eye-level shelf placements, end-cap displays, and high-traffic floor spots.

  • Merchandising Standards: Ensure 100% product availability and proper merchandising, including the effective use of POS (Point of Sale) materials and testers.

  • Promotion Execution: Design and negotiate local promotions and display opportunities to drive impulse purchases and increase brand awareness.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education & Experience

  • Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • History: 5+ years of experience in sales, with at least 2–3 years specifically in the Beauty, FMCG, or Cosmetics industry.

  • Network: An existing network of contacts within the beauty retail and salon industry in the assigned area.

Core Competencies

  • Negotiation: Ability to secure the best commercial terms and display spots in a competitive retail environment.

  • Analytical Skills: Comfortable using sales data to forecast trends and identify underperforming routes.

  • Leadership: Proven ability to manage a field sales team or a large network of independent distributors.

Salary

₦150,000 - ₦200,000/month
