Job Description:
We are seeking a high-caliber, commercially astute Head of Sales & Marketing to lead our growth engine. This is a dual-focus leadership role requiring a visionary strategist who can design multi-channel marketing plans and a relentless sales leader who can close high-value accounts. You will be responsible for transforming our performance culture, opening new revenue streams, and representing the brand at the highest levels of industry and government. Requirements:
1. Strategic Growth & Market Intelligence
Strategy Development: Design and implement integrated sales and marketing strategies to identify and capture new market channels.
Market Insight: Conduct "Total Addressable Market" (TAM) analysis to define competitor share and pinpoint untapped opportunities for our product portfolio.
Change Leadership: Lead organizational shifts to modernize sales processes and transform overall performance metrics.
2. Revenue Management & Forecasting
Financial Precision: Forecast annual, quarterly, and monthly revenue streams with minimal deviation from actuals.
Budget Accountability: Define and manage the realization of revenue targets while overseeing marketing and sales expense budgets.
Executive Reporting: Present realistic sales/marketing revenue and expense reports to the management team, backed by field data.
3. High-Level Relationship & Account Management
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and leverage relationships with trade groups, professional associations, NGOs, and governmental bodies on behalf of the company.
Account Penetration: Directly lead the pursuit of prospective "Tier-1" accounts, managing the relationship through all phases of the complex sales cycle.
Industry Representation: Serve as the face of the company at trade meetings and high-profile events to promote new and existing products.
4. Team Leadership & Talent Development
Supervision & Alignment: Direct the daily activities of the sales and marketing teams, ensuring every action aligns with the company’s strategic direction.
Training & Mentorship: Establish seminars and training programs focused on emerging services, competitive strategies, and growth sectors.
Motivation: Foster a high-performance culture by motivating teams to exceed their goals through structured commission and incentive programs.
Qualifications and Skills:
Experience & Background
Leadership History: Proven experience in a senior sales and marketing role with a track record of hitting multi-million naira targets.
Industry Mastery: Deep understanding of market shifts, competitor tactics, and new product entry strategies.
Technical Skill: Proficiency in CRM tools, financial modeling for forecasting, and advanced reporting.
Core Competencies
Analytical Prowess: Ability to interpret field intelligence and customer information into actionable strategic plans.
Negotiation & Influence: Skilled at penetrating new sectors and closing complex, long-cycle accounts.
Operational Discipline: Strong managerial skills to coordinate both marketing (brand/demand) and sales (conversion) functions.
