Job Description:

We are seeking a high-caliber Document Design & Visual Communications Specialist to transform raw data, complex research, and high-level ideas into world-class visual narratives. This is a critical role within our strategic communications team, where you will be the bridge between technical content and executive-level clarity.

In this position, you will own the aesthetic integrity of our most important documents—from high-stakes investment pitches and donor proposals to comprehensive annual reports. If you have a "design-first" mindset, mastery of Canva and PowerPoint, and the intellectual curiosity to understand the subject matter you are visualizing, we want you to lead our visual brand evolution.

Requirements:

1. Strategic Visual Storytelling

• Presentation Architecture: Design and build high-impact presentations for board meetings, investor pitches, and global events that capture attention and drive action.

• Complex Data Visualization: Translate intricate research findings and data points into clear, intuitive charts, infographics, and diagrams.

• Document Engineering: Create professional reports and proposals that balance dense information with clean, readable layouts and consistent formatting.

2. Brand Governance & Aesthetic Integrity

• Brand Stewardship: Ensure 100% adherence to the organization’s branding and style guides across all internal and external touchpoints.

• Iterative Refinement: Edit and overhaul existing materials to enhance visual appeal, ensuring every legacy document meets modern design standards.

• Style Guide Evolution: Collaborate on the development of design assets and templates that streamline organizational productivity.

3. Collaborative Project Management

• Stakeholder Alignment: Work closely with researchers, writers, and executives to understand core project needs and translate their vision into visual reality.

• Agile Execution: Manage multiple high-priority document projects simultaneously, maintaining high editorial standards under tight deadlines.

• Feedback Integration: Demonstrate high adaptability by responding to iterative feedback in a fast-paced environment without sacrificing design quality.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

• Education: BSc or HND in any field (Design, Marketing, or Communications preferred).

• Experience: Proven track record in designing corporate documents or high-stakes proposals.

• Software Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint (animations, master slides, templates) and Canva (brand kits, advanced layouts).

Core Competencies

• Design Fundamentals: A deep understanding of color theory, typography, whitespace, and visual hierarchy.

• Intellectual Curiosity: A willingness to learn the subject matter to improve the accuracy and impact of visual storytelling.

• Organization: Highly structured and capable of managing version control across multiple complex documents.
