We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Description:
- The Head, Operations & Administration will lead the design, implementation, and management of the Bank’s operational and administrative framework from inception.
- This role is responsible for establishing the core operational backbone of the digital bank, covering transaction processing, settlements, reconciliations, service delivery, corporate administration, vendor governance, and operational risk management.
- The successful candidate will build scalable operational structures capable of supporting rapid growth, regulatory compliance, and seamless customer experience.
Responsibilities
Banking Operations Management:
- Oversee end-to-end digital banking operations across accounts, transfers, payments, cards, and lending platforms.
- Manage transaction processing, settlement workflows, and operational exception handling.
- Ensure operational efficiency and adherence to defined service level agreements (SLAs).
- Drive automation and straight-through processing across operational functions.
Settlement, Reconciliation & Financial Controls:
- Supervise interbank settlements and partner settlements.
- Implement reconciliation processes across all transaction channels.
- Investigate and resolve reconciliation breaks and transaction discrepancies.
- Strengthen maker-checker frameworks and operational control structures.
Operational Structure Development:
- Design scalable operational processes suitable for a digital microfinance bank.
- Develop operational policies, SOPs, and internal control frameworks.
- Establish service delivery standards and operational governance structures.
- Implement operational dashboards and reporting frameworks.
Customer Operations & Service Delivery:
- Oversee back-office customer operations including onboarding support and transaction investigations.
- Manage dispute resolution processes, chargebacks, and operational complaints.
- Implement service excellence standards across customer operations.
- Establish escalation and incident management procedures.
Administration & Corporate Services:
- Establish administrative structures including office infrastructure and facilities management.
- Oversee asset management, logistics, and workplace services.
- Manage corporate insurance, vendor contracts, and administrative budgets.
- Ensure a secure and productive work environment.
Vendor & Partner Management:
- Manage operational vendors including payment processors, switches, and service providers.
- Monitor vendor performance against agreed SLAs.
- Support procurement processes and vendor onboarding governance.
- Drive cost efficiency while maintaining service reliability.
Risk Management & Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure operational processes align with CBN regulations and internal policies.
- Implement operational risk management and internal control frameworks.
- Support regulatory reporting and audit requirements.
- Maintain operational documentation for regulatory reviews and inspections.
Requirements:
Skills:
- Strong expertise in banking operations and service delivery management.
- Deep understanding of settlements, reconciliations, and transaction processing.
- Experience designing operational frameworks in digital banking or fintech environments.
- Knowledge of CBN regulatory requirements for microfinance banks.
- Strong process design, operational optimization, and automation capability.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to operational controls and governance.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- MBA or postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
- Professional certifications such as ACIB, MCIB, PMP, Six Sigma, or related qualifications are desirable.
Experience:
- Minimum 12years experience in banking operations or financial services.
- At least 7 years in senior operations leadership roles.
- Proven experience in digital banking, fintech, or payments operations.
- Strong background managing settlements, reconciliations, and operational risk.
- Experience building or restructuring operational processes is highly desirable.

Remuneration
- Salary: N500,000 - N800,000 / month.
- Performance-based incentives linked to operational efficiency and service delivery metrics.
