Job Description:
We are seeking a professional and detail-oriented Front Desk and Billing Officer to anchor our patient coordination and financial intake operations. In a clinical environment, success is defined by "Service Fluidity", the ability to provide a welcoming atmosphere while simultaneously ensuring that billing cycles are accurate and revenue is captured securely. This role is designed for a "Patient-Centric Administrator" who can blend "High-Level Customer Service" with the "Numerical Rigor" required to manage hospital accounts.
Your mission is to ensure "Absolute Administrative Accuracy and a Flawless Patient Journey." You will be the primary steward of the hospital's first impression and financial point-of-sale: responsible for patient registration, appointment orchestration, and the reconciliation of daily collections. If you possess "Excellent Communication Skills," a background in the Social Sciences, and a proactive approach to financial record-keeping, we want you to drive our operational excellence.
Requirements:
1. Clinical Diplomacy & Patient Onboarding
First-Impression Sovereignty: Receive patients and visitors with the highest degree of professionalism, setting a tone of care and efficiency for the hospital.
Data Integrity: Register new patients and update existing records in the hospital management system with millimetric accuracy.
Flow Coordination: Schedule appointments and direct patients to the correct clinical units, minimizing wait times and optimizing the facility's workflow.
2. Revenue Governance & Billing Precision
Financial Architecture: Prepare and process accurate bills for consultations, laboratory investigations, surgical procedures, and inpatient admissions.
Payment Stewardship: Receive payments through multiple channels, issue official receipts, and maintain a transparent audit trail for every transaction.
Daily Reconciliation: Perform rigorous daily balancing of collections, ensuring that physical cash/POS totals match system records before reporting to the accounts unit.
3. Information Security & Client Support
Confidentiality Mandate: Maintain absolute confidentiality regarding patient health records and sensitive financial data in compliance with medical ethics.
Inquiry Management: Act as a responsive resource for patient inquiries and escalate complaints to the appropriate management level when necessary.
Multitasking Excellence: Balance the demands of a high-traffic front desk with the meticulous requirements of medical billing and documentation.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Minimum of a B.Sc. Degree in Social Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: Prior experience in a hospital front desk or medical billing role is a distinct advantage.
Technical Savvy: Proficiency in computer systems and basic accounting principles.
