Job Description:

1. Enterprise Business Development

  • Deal Acquisition: Identify, develop, and close new 3PL opportunities across warehousing, distribution, last-mile delivery, and contract logistics.

  • Solution Selling: Consult with enterprise clients to design tailored supply chain solutions that improve their operational efficiency and reduce costs.

  • Commercial Strategy: Prepare and present complex commercial proposals, tiered pricing models, and comprehensive Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

2. Strategic Account Management

  • Portfolio Growth: Manage and scale existing corporate accounts, identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities within their supply chain.

  • Contract Stewardship: Lead high-stakes negotiations and contract renewals, ensuring long-term profitability and client retention.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Operations, Network, and Finance teams to ensure that the services sold are delivered seamlessly and profitably.

3. Market Intelligence & Reporting

  • Trend Analysis: Conduct deep market research to identify emerging sectors (e.g., E-commerce, Pharma, FMCG) and expansion opportunities.

  • Performance Tracking: Maintain a rigorous sales pipeline and provide accurate revenue forecasts and activity reports to the leadership team.

  • Brand Ambassadorship: Represent the company at key industry events, trade forums, and high-level client meetings.

Requirements:

  • Supply Chain Mastery: Strong understanding of warehousing, multi-modal transportation, and distribution network design.

  • Negotiation: Expert-level presentation and negotiation skills, particularly with C-suite executives and procurement heads.

  • Self-Drive: Ability to work independently and thrive in a high-pressure, target-driven environment.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience: 5–7 years of dedicated experience in logistics or 3PL sales.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Logistics. An MBA or professional logistics certification is a significant advantage.

  • Track Record: Proven ability to close high-value enterprise deals (multi-million naira/dollar contracts).
