Job Description:

We are seeking a high-caliber, result-oriented International Sales Manager to spearhead market expansion for our cross-border payment solutions. In the rapidly evolving landscape of Nigerian foreign trade, you will be the primary driver of growth—identifying high-potential enterprises, navigating complex import/export payment needs, and onboarding B2B clients onto our global platform. This role requires a "hunter" mindset for cold acquisitions and a "consultant" approach to client management. If you have a deep understanding of international commerce and a proven track record in B2B financial sales, we want you to help us dominate the regional market.

Requirements:

1. Market Development & Strategic Research

  • Niche Exploration: Conduct deep-dive analysis into the Nigerian foreign trade sector to identify emerging industry needs and growth pockets.

  • Target Mapping: Identify and engage large-scale enterprises with significant cross-border transaction volumes.

  • Territory Growth: Develop and execute strategies to increase the company’s market share across assigned geographical and industry territories.

2. Sales Acquisition & Solution Design

  • Direct Outreach: Initiate contact with foreign trade enterprises through aggressive cold-calling and high-impact physical visits.

  • Solution Consultation: Translate complex client needs (FX requirements, speed of settlement, compliance) into tailored payment solutions using our platform.

  • Onboarding Excellence: Guide clients through the integration and onboarding process, ensuring a friction-free transition to our services.

3. Client Management & Brand Influence

  • Relationship Stewardship: Maintain a robust portfolio of existing clients, providing ongoing support to ensure they maximize their usage of our cross-border tools.

  • Benchmark Creation: Cultivate "Benchmark Customers"—high-profile success stories that serve as proof points for our brand’s reliability and influence in the region.

  • Customer Success: Monitor user experience and proactively address friction points to improve long-term retention and satisfaction.

4. Performance & Reporting

  • Target Attainment: Consistently meet or exceed aggressive monthly and quarterly sales and transaction volume targets.

  • Intelligence Reporting: Provide the leadership team with regular market insights, competitor activity reports, and performance dashboards.

Qualifications and Skills:

Experience & Background

  • History: Proven track record of outstanding sales performance in B2B Business Development.

  • Sector Expertise: Deep experience in International Trade, Import/Export, or Cross-Border Commerce is essential.

  • Preferred Background: Candidates from Commercial Banking (Trade Desk) or specialized Cross-Border Fintech services are highly desired.

Core Competencies

  • B2B Sales Prowess: Master of cold outreach, physical prospecting, and high-level negotiation.

  • Product Knowledge: Strong understanding of foreign exchange (FX) dynamics, international wire transfers (SWIFT/SEPA), and trade finance.

  • Relationship Management: Ability to build trust with C-level executives and Finance Directors of large trade firms.

  • Analytical Skills: Capable of interpreting market data to refine sales tactics and identify "white space" opportunities.
