We’ve mastered the art of production; now, we are seeking a National Sales Manager to master the art of the market. This is an executive leadership role for a strategic titan ready to manage a vital part of the nation’s food security. You will harmonize our production excellence with the unique market dynamics of the Southern coastal and inland hubs, transforming our brand into a household name in every corner of Nigeria.
Requirements:
1. National Market Expansion & Strategy
Market Architect: Develop and execute data-driven sales forecasts and pricing strategies that outpace the competition.
Geographic Deepening: Strengthen our dominant stronghold in the South-East and South-South (Onitsha, Aba, Port Harcourt) while aggressively capturing new territories nationwide.
Route-to-Market (RTM): Design and optimize distribution models that ensure our products move efficiently from our North Central HQ to retail shelves across the 36 states.
2. Leadership & Team Performance
Command & Mentor: Direct a diverse team of Regional Sales Managers, fostering a culture of high performance and relentless growth.
Talent Development: Identify and bridge skill gaps within the sales force, ensuring the team is equipped for large-scale commodity negotiations.
KPI Management: Establish and monitor rigorous performance metrics, ensuring the team hits volume targets while maintaining healthy margins.
3. Supply Chain & Logistics Synergy
Regional Bridging: Collaborate with the production and logistics teams to ensure that supply chain resilience matches market demand.
Distributor Management: Manage high-level relationships with major corporate distributors and key open-market stakeholders.
Stock Optimization: Prevent stockouts in high-demand zones through predictive analysis and coordinated regional replenishment.
Qualifications and Skills:
Experience & Background
Tenure: 10+ years of FMCG experience (specifically in food or high-volume commodities), with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
Market IQ: Deep understanding of the Nigerian consumer landscape—you are equally comfortable in the open markets of Onitsha as you are in the corporate boardrooms of Lagos.
Education: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or a related field (MBA is a distinct advantage).
