Job Description:

We are seeking a high-caliber Sales & Distribution Manager to lead the commercial and distribution lifecycle of our premium auto parts and lubricants portfolio. In this role, you will be the primary architect of our Route-to-Market (RTM) strategy, ensuring that high-turnover items—such as lubricants, filters, and tyres—reach our retail and wholesale networks with maximum efficiency. You will bridge the gap between inventory planning and field execution, managing complex distributor networks and B2B/B2C channels to drive aggressive revenue growth. Requirements:

1. Strategic Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Portfolio Ownership: Drive aggressive sales targets for specialized product lines, including engine oils, transmission fluids, and fast-moving mechanical parts.

  • Market Expansion: Identify and onboard high-potential distributors, dealers, and retail partners to expand our geographical footprint.

  • Strategy Execution: Develop and implement localized sales strategies that respond to seasonal demand and competitor pricing shifts.

2. Distribution & Route-to-Market (RTM) Optimization

  • Channel Management: Oversee the commercial lifecycle across retail and wholesale channels, ensuring product availability and dominant shelf presence.

  • Route Efficiency: Monitor and optimize RTM operations to reduce transit times and maximize coverage in high-density automotive hubs.

  • Compliance Monitoring: Track distributor performance and ensure strict adherence to volume targets and territorial agreements.

3. Logistics Coordination & Market Intelligence

  • Supply Chain Synergy: Coordinate closely with logistics and warehouse teams to align stock levels with sales forecasts, ensuring zero stock-outs of "A-class" items like filters and lubricants.

  • Competitor Analytics: Continuously analyze market trends and competitor activities (pricing, promotions, and new entrants) to identify growth opportunities.

  • Data-Driven Reporting: Prepare comprehensive reports on sales velocity, distributor health, and market feedback for executive review.

Qualifications and Skills:

Experience & Academic Background

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Tenure: Minimum of 7 years’ experience in sales and distribution.

  • Industry Focus: Direct experience in Auto Spare Parts or FMCG is highly preferred.

  • Expertise: Deep knowledge of channel management, distributor financing, and Nigerian logistics corridors.
