Job Description:
- We are seeking a results-driven Retail Sales Executive to lead sales activities at our Kano retail outlet, with responsibility for selling inverters, batteries, solar panels, and related power products.
- This role goes beyond waiting for walk-in customers. The successful candidate will actively generate sales through field canvassing, market outreach, and relationship building, while also taking ownership of the retail outlet’s daily operations.
- The role requires maturity, discipline, and a strong work ethic, as well as the ability to work respectfully with others in a professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development:
- Drive sales of power and energy products, including inverters, batteries, solar systems, and accessories.
- Proactively source customers through field marketing, canvassing, referrals, and local partnerships.
- Convert walk-in enquiries into sales through effective product knowledge and needs assessment.
- Build and maintain a steady pipeline of individual, SME, and commercial customers.
- Consistently meet and exceed agreed sales targets.
Retail Outlet Ownership:
- Take day-to-day responsibility for the smooth running of the retail outlet.
- Ensure the outlet is properly organized, welcoming, and sales-ready at all times.
- Track daily sales activity and provide basic performance and market feedback.
- Safeguard company assets, stock, and customer relationships.
People & Work Coordination:
- Provide day-to-day guidance and coordination within the outlet to ensure smooth operations.
- Set the pace for professionalism, punctuality, and customer-focused service.
- Work collaboratively and respectfully with colleagues to deliver sales results.
- Take ownership of outcomes, regardless of team size, and ensure targets are met.
Customer Engagement:
- Build long-term customer relationships based on trust, honesty, and reliability.
- Address customer questions or issues promptly and professionally.
- Encourage repeat business and referrals through excellent service delivery.
Requirements:
- Professional, respectful, and inclusive in dealing with colleagues and customers.
- Hardworking, disciplined, and dependable.
- Emotionally mature and able to work under pressure without excuses.

- Steady growth in sales revenue from both walk-in and field-generated customers.

- Strong customer trust and repeat business within the Kano market.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experiencein retail sales or field sales.
- Experience selling power, electrical, solar, energy, or technical products is a strong advantage.
- Proven ability to generate sales independently, including outside the retail outlet.
- Prior responsibility for overseeing a shop or sales point is an added advantage.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong sales instinct with a clear focus on results.
- Excellent communication and persuasion skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Practical understanding of retail sales operations.
- Organized, accountable, and solution-oriented.
- Nice to have - Flunecy in the Hausa Language.
Salary
