Noreta Farms is pioneering the future of smart greenhouse farming in Nigeria. We are seeking a Senior Commercial Leader to anchor our operations in Ondo State. This is a strategic leadership mandate for a professional who understands that in the world of premium perishables (tomatoes and bell peppers), profit is won through foresight, not just volume. Your mission is to secure high-value off-take agreements before the first seed is even planted, protect margins against market volatility, and master the logistics of speed and cash flow. Requirements:
1. Strategic Off-take & Market Acquisition
Forward-Contracting: Secure long-term buyers, corporate retailers, and industrial off-takers months ahead of harvest to guarantee revenue stability.
Premium Positioning: Develop and execute the brand strategy for our premium tomatoes and bell peppers, ensuring we capture the "Quality Premium" in the Nigerian market.
Channel Diversification: Balance the portfolio across Modern Trade (supermarkets), HORECA (Hotels/Restaurants), and high-volume wholesale channels.
2. Commercial Rigor & Margin Protection
Dynamic Pricing: Implement agile pricing models that respond to market fluctuations while protecting Noreta’s cost-plus margins.
Waste Mitigation: Drive "speed-to-market" strategies to minimize post-harvest loss—ensuring that every crate picked is sold and delivered within optimal freshness windows.
Collections & Cashflow: Oversee the entire "Order-to-Cash" cycle, ensuring 100% timely collections and healthy operational liquidity.
3. Leadership & Supply Chain Integration
Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary commercial voice with investors, government bodies, and trade partners.
Sales-Operations-Planning (S&OP): Work in lockstep with the Greenhouse Production Team to align harvest cycles with market demand peaks.
Reporting & Analytics: Provide the Executive Board with deep-dive commercial insights, revenue forecasts, and market trend analysis.
Qualifications and Skills:
Experience & Academic Background
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Agribusiness, Economics, or Finance. An MBA or Master’s degree is a significant advantage.
Tenure: Senior-level experience (8+ years) with a proven track record in Fresh Produce, FMCG, or Perishable Goods.
Certifications: Professional certification in Strategic Management, Supply Chain, or Marketing (e.g., NIMN, CIM) is a plus.
Core Competencies
Negotiation Power: Ability to negotiate complex, high-volume contracts with corporate retail giants and wholesalers.
Market Instincts: A "gut feel" for Nigerian market dynamics backed by analytical data.
Logistics Acumen: Deep understanding of the Nigerian transport landscape and perishable supply chain challenges.
