Job Description:

Our client is a prestigious, first-generation pharmaceutical manufacturer with American roots and a public listing on the stock exchange. Known for their market-leading oral and dental care brands, they are currently undergoing a strategic re-positioning to dominate the Nigerian pharma-market. We are looking for high-energy, result-oriented sales professionals to lead this "Market Reclaim" mission. This is a role for a "Hunter"—someone who can navigate the complex pharmaceutical trade channels, secure shelf-presence, and turn territory insights into revenue growth.

Requirements:

1. Trade Growth & Market Penetration

  • Direct Sales & Acquisition: Execute aggressive sales strategies to meet and exceed monthly volume targets for our core oral and dental brands.

  • Channel Expansion: Identify and onboard high-potential customers, including modern trade outlets, retail pharmacies, and major wholesalers.

  • Territory Mastery: Apply deep local knowledge to optimize route-to-market strategies, ensuring our products are available where the demand is highest.

2. Brand Visibility & Relationship Management

  • Shelf Presence: Ensure maximum "share of shelf" and visibility in retail outlets, implementing merchandising standards that outshine competitors.

  • Stakeholder Stewardship: Build and manage high-trust relationships with all cadres of pharmaceutical channel members (Pharmacists, Store Managers, and Distributors).

  • Trade Advocacy: Act as a brand ambassador, educating trade partners on the unique value proposition of our American-heritage brands.

3. Financial Diligence & Market Intelligence

  • Collection Management: Take full responsibility for the collection of payments, ensuring healthy cash flow and minimizing outstanding receivables.

  • Insight Reporting: Provide real-time feedback on competitor activity, pricing shifts, and customer needs to help Management refine marketing effectiveness.

  • Independent Execution: Work autonomously to hit KPIs while maintaining a high level of accountability and professional integrity.

Qualifications and Skills:

Experience & Academic Background

  • Education: Minimum of OND, HND, or BSc in any discipline.

  • Tenure: 1–2 years of proven sales experience. Candidates with specific experience in Modern Trade or Retail Pharmaceutical channels will have a distinct advantage.

  • Territory Knowledge: Must demonstrate a "street-smart" understanding of the dynamics in your assigned location.

Core Competencies

  • Negotiation Skills: Ability to close deals and secure favorable terms with sophisticated trade partners.

  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to manage diverse personalities within the pharma-channel.
