Job Description:

Are you a strategic closer with a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical manufacturing value chain? We are seeking a results-driven Sales Manager to lead the promotion of our specialized product portfolio, including Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs), Hard Gelatin Capsules, and Pharmaceutical Machinery. In this role, you are not just selling products; you are providing the critical raw materials and technology that power Nigeria’s pharmaceutical industry. If you have the technical grit to discuss chemical specifications with production heads and the commercial acumen to close high-value machinery contracts, we want you on our team.

Requirements:

1. B2B Market Development & Lead Acquisition

  • Strategic Prospecting: Identify and penetrate new pharmaceutical manufacturing accounts across the region, focusing on key decision-makers in Procurement and Production.

  • Portfolio Positioning: Expertly present the value proposition of our APIs and empty capsules, ensuring they meet the specific formulation needs of diverse clients.

  • Technical Consultations: Guide clients through our machinery catalog, identifying the right technology to optimize their production lines.

2. Relationship Architecture & Key Account Management

  • Client Retention: Nurture long-term partnerships with existing pharmaceutical firms, serving as their primary liaison for supply chain stability and technical support.

  • Negotiation & Closing: Lead high-level negotiations for bulk raw material contracts and capital equipment investments, ensuring profitable terms and long-term loyalty.

  • Customer-Centricity: Resolve client challenges through proactive problem-solving, ensuring timely delivery and post-sales satisfaction.

3. Market Intelligence & Performance Analytics

  • Industry Compliance: Stay updated on regulatory requirements and industry standards to ensure all products and sales activities align with local pharmaceutical laws.

  • Pipeline Reporting: Maintain accurate sales records and forecasts using MS Office tools, providing management with clear visibility into market trends.

  • Competitive Analysis: Monitor competitor activities in the API and machinery space to pivot sales strategies and maintain a dominant market position.

Qualifications and Skills:

Experience & Academic Background

  • Education: Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Tenure: 3–5 years of sales experience within the pharmaceutical industry.

  • Specialized Knowledge: Direct experience selling Hard Gelatin Capsules, APIs, or Pharmaceutical Machinery is a significant advantage.

  • Technical Insight: Familiarity with pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and regulatory standards.

Core Competencies

  • Persuasive Communication: Ability to explain complex chemical or mechanical specifications in a clear, persuasive manner.

  • Negotiation Mastery: Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets through strategic deal-closing.

  • Self-Governance: Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple high-value accounts independently.

  • Technical Literacy: Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for professional reporting.
