Job Description:
We are seeking a meticulous and scientifically-driven Quality Control (QC) Assistant to join our production team in Ibadan. In this role, you will be a key guardian of our product standards, performing essential tests and inspections to ensure every item leaving our facility meets our strict quality and safety benchmarks. You will work closely with the production and laboratory teams to monitor processes, document findings, and ensure full compliance with regulatory standards. This is an ideal role for a disciplined graduate with a background in life sciences who thrives in a precision-oriented environment.
Requirements:
1. Laboratory Testing & Sampling
In-Process Testing: Assist in performing chemical, microbiological, or physical tests on raw materials and finished products to verify quality.
Sample Management: Properly collect, label, and store samples for laboratory analysis according to established protocols.
Instrumentation: Operate and maintain basic laboratory equipment, ensuring all tools are calibrated and clean.
2. Compliance & Standards Oversight
SOP Adherence: Strictly follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
Quality Audits: Assist in routine inspections of the production floor to ensure hygiene and manufacturing standards are being met.
Non-Conformance Reporting: Promptly identify and escalate any deviations from quality standards to the QC Supervisor.
3. Data Management & Documentation
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and legible logs of all test results, batch records, and quality reports.
Analytical Reporting: Compile data for periodic quality reviews and assist in identifying trends that may affect product integrity.
Instruction Follow-through: Execute specific directives from senior microbiologists or chemists with high levels of accuracy.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education & Technical Skills
Academic Background: HND or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Food Science/Technology, or a related field.
Specialized Knowledge: A solid understanding of quality control procedures and standards (e.g., ISO, NAFDAC, or SON).
Lab Skills: Practical experience in laboratory testing is a significant advantage.
Core Competencies

Organization: Ability to manage multiple samples and documentation logs efficiently.
Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills for reporting findings.
Location: Must reside in Ibadan for operational proximity.
