Job Description:

1. Infrastructure Deployment & Configuration

• Network Setup: Install, configure, and commission network hardware including routers, switches, wireless access points, and CPEs.

• Link Optimization: Design and implement wireless and wired links for both residential clusters and high-capacity enterprise clients.

• Standards Adherence: Ensure all installations meet Rexifi’s quality and safety standards for peak performance and durability.

2. Monitoring, Troubleshooting & Maintenance

• Proactive Monitoring: Utilize network monitoring tools to track uptime, latency, and bandwidth utilization across the infrastructure.

• Incident Response: Lead the troubleshooting and resolution of network outages, hardware failures, and performance bottlenecks.

• Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular site audits and firmware updates to prevent service degradations.

3. Customer Support & Documentation

• Technical Support: Assist the field team with complex customer installations and provide Tier-2 technical support for connectivity issues.

• Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date network diagrams, IP address allocations, and site maintenance logs.

• SLA Compliance: Ensure enterprise customer connectivity meets agreed-upon Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Requirements:

• Problem Solving: Ability to think logically under pressure to resolve critical network faults.

• Communication: Excellent customer support skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical clients.

• Physical Ability: Willingness to perform field work, including working at heights (tower climbing) where necessary.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Qualification: BSc, HND, or National Diploma in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.

• Experience: Proven experience as a Network Engineer or ISP Technician.

• Certifications (Plus): CCNA, CCNP, or MTCNA certifications are highly desirable.

Technical Competencies

• Core Networking: Strong knowledge of Routing & Switching (OSPF, BGP, VLANs) and the TCP/IP suite.

• Wireless Technology: Expertise in Point-to-Point (PTP) and Point-to-MultiPoint (PTMP) wireless configurations (e.g., Ubiquiti, Mikrotik, Cambium).

• Tools: Proficiency with network diagnostic tools (Ping, Traceroute, Wireshark) and monitoring software (PRTG, Zabbix, or Mikrotik Dude).
