Job Description:
Air Peace is seeking an analytical and operationally sharp Network Planning & Scheduling Manager. You will be the engine room of our network, responsible for the technical development and optimization of flight schedules across our domestic, regional, and expanding international routes. Your primary goal is to solve the complex puzzle of maximizing aircraft utilization and passenger connectivity while adhering to the strict realities of airport slots, maintenance windows, and crew legality. You will bridge the gap between long-term strategy and daily execution.
Requirements:
1. Strategic Network Optimization
Route Analysis: Conduct detailed feasibility studies for new destinations, analyzing competitor capacity, market demand, and projected route profitability.
Connectivity Planning: Structure flight "banks" at our Lagos and Abuja hubs to minimize layover times and maximize the number of connecting city-pairs.
Scenario Modeling: Run "What-If" simulations to assess the impact of adding frequencies, changing aircraft types, or adjusting departure windows.
2. Schedule Development & Fleet Logic
Rotation Design: Develop robust aircraft rotations that target 8.0–9.5 block hours per day while ensuring sufficient ground time for maintenance and turnarounds.
Slot & Regulatory Management: Manage slot portfolios at constrained international airports and ensure all schedules comply with Bilateral Air Service Agreements (BASA).
System Integrity: Maintain the "source of truth" schedule in the airline’s planning software, ensuring 100% accuracy in data transmission to GDS and the Operations Control Center (OCC).
3. Performance Intelligence & Reporting
Metric Tracking: Monitor and report on core KPIs: RASK (Revenue per Available Seat Kilometer), CASK (Cost per Available Seat Kilometer), and Load Factors.
Continuous Improvement: Identify "underperforming" flights and recommend tactical adjustments (e.g., retiming or aircraft downgrades/upgrades) to protect yield.
Cross-Functional Sync: Lead weekly meetings with Revenue Management and Flight Ops to ensure the schedule is both profitable and flyable.
Qualifications and Skills:
Degree: Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation Management, Economics, Business, or a related field.
Professional History: 5–8 years in airline network planning, scheduling, or commercial operations.
Software Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Excel; direct experience with airline scheduling software (e.g., Sabre, Amadeus, NetLine, or AIMS) is a strong advantage.
Core Competencies
Analytical Rigor: Ability to synthesize complex data sets into clear, strategic recommendations.
Aviation Economics: Deep understanding of network flows, aircraft cost structures, and yield management.
Stakeholder Management: Skill in balancing the conflicting needs of the Commercial department (more flights) and the Operations department (more maintenance time).
