Job Description:
1. Infrastructure & Network Governance
Hardware Management: Maintain all on-site servers, networking hardware, workstations, printers, CCTV systems, and POS terminals.
Connectivity Excellence: Ensure 24/7 availability of high-performance internet and internal networks (LAN/WAN) across both guest and staff areas.
Health Checks: Conduct daily system health checks, firmware updates, and rigorous performance monitoring to prevent downtime.
2. Core Business Systems & Support
System Integration: Support and maintain critical hospitality platforms, including Property Management Systems (PMS), Point-of-Sale (POS), and Finance/HR software.
Access Control: Manage user permissions and account provisioning in strict alignment with resort security policies.
End-User Training: Provide responsive technical support to all departments and train staff on IT best practices and system usage.
3. Cybersecurity & Risk Mitigation
Threat Defense: Implement and enforce robust cybersecurity protocols, including firewall management, antivirus updates, and access restrictions.
Data Integrity: Manage the resort’s disaster recovery strategy, ensuring daily off-site backups and testing recovery readiness.
Incident Response: Monitor for vulnerabilities and respond immediately to suspicious activities or system breaches.
4. Vendor & Asset Management
Vendor Coordination: Manage relationships with external service providers (ISPs, software vendors) and evaluate their performance against Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Documentation: Maintain a meticulous IT inventory and technical documentation, including network diagrams, license keys, and IT SOPs.
Requirements:
Accountability: High operational reliability; able to manage the "Night Audit" technical cycle if required.
Troubleshooting: Advanced problem-solving skills for complex connectivity or software issues.
Communication: Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical staff and management.
Qualifications and Skills:
Degree: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience: 4+ years of hands-on experience in systems administration or IT infrastructure management.
Hospitality Context: Previous experience supporting PMS (e.g., Opera, Room Master) or POS platforms is a significant advantage.
Technical Stack: Strong knowledge of Windows Server environments, networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS), and hardware repair.
