Job Description:

We are seeking a results-oriented Marketing Executive with deep expertise in the Masterbatch and Plastic Raw Materials sector. This is a specialized technical sales and marketing role designed for a professional who understands the chemistry of polymer additives and possesses the commercial acumen to drive volume growth. You will be responsible for identifying new market opportunities, managing relationships with plastic manufacturers, and positioning our raw materials as the gold standard for quality and performance. Requirements:

1. Market Development & Technical Sales

  • New Market Penetration: Identify and develop new business opportunities across various plastic segments (Injection Molding, Blow Molding, Extrusion, etc.).

  • Product Positioning: Educate clients on the technical advantages of our masterbatches, including color consistency, UV stability, and processability.

  • Competitor Analysis: Monitor market trends and competitor pricing to ensure our offerings remain the most attractive in the Nigerian polymer landscape.

2. Relationship & Account Management

  • Strategic Partnerships: Build and maintain long-term relationships with procurement managers and production engineers in the plastic manufacturing industry.

  • Customer Support: Act as a technical consultant to clients, helping them select the right masterbatch formulations for their specific resin types and end-use applications.

  • Sales Pipeline: Manage the end-to-end sales cycle from initial prospecting and sample testing to final closing and after-sales support.

3. Reporting & Target Achievement

  • Volume Growth: Meet and exceed aggressive monthly and quarterly sales targets for raw materials and masterbatch additives.

  • Forecasting: Provide accurate sales forecasts and market intelligence reports to management to support inventory planning.

  • Payment Collection: Ensure timely reconciliation of accounts and collection of payments in line with company credit policies.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education & Technical Expertise

  • Academic Background: HND or Bachelor’s degree in Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, Marketing, or Business Administration.

  • Industry Experience: Proven experience specifically in Masterbatch or Plastic Raw Material (PP, PE, PVC, PET) sales/marketing.

  • Product Knowledge: A solid understanding of the different types of masterbatches (Color, Additive, Filler) and their applications in the plastic industry.

Core Competencies

  • Negotiation: Exceptional ability to negotiate high-volume contracts with industrial manufacturers.

  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to bridge the gap between technical production needs and commercial objectives.

  • Drive: Self-motivated and target-oriented, with the ability to work independently in a competitive market.
