Job Description:
We are seeking a high-caliber, operationally aggressive Head of Micro-Lending to build and lead our Daily Revenue Business Loan unit. This role is designed for a veteran of the micro-lending sector who understands that success in high-frequency lending is won in the field, not behind a desk. You will be responsible for the end-to-end architecture of our daily repayment model—from designing sector-specific loan products for traders and food vendors to enforcing the strict collection discipline required to maintain a healthy portfolio. If you have a proven track record of managing large-scale, short-term portfolios with zero tolerance for PAR (Portfolio at Risk) slippage, we want you to lead this division.
Requirements:
1. Strategic Business Unit (SBU) Architecture
Unit Launch: Design and launch the Daily Revenue Business Loan unit, establishing the operational framework for market-based lending.
Product Customization: Develop sector-specific loan rules and risk profiles tailored to the unique cash-flow cycles of markets, supermarkets, restaurants, and food businesses.
Structure Implementation: Establish a robust group-lending guarantor system and a rigorous cash-flow verification structure to minimize entry-level risk.
2. Field Operations & Collection Discipline
Disbursement & Recovery: Directly oversee the daily disbursement cycle and ensure 100% efficiency in daily repayment collections.
Repayment Enforcement: Implement and enforce a "daily discipline" culture, ensuring that field officers and clients adhere strictly to agreed-upon repayment schedules.
Credit Governance: Enforce a "full-repayment-before-repeat" policy, approving top-up or repeat loans only after the successful closure of prior obligations.
3. Team Leadership & Portfolio Monitoring
Talent Management: Recruit, train, and manage a high-performance team of field officers and collection agents, focusing on ethical but firm recovery tactics.
Performance Analytics: Monitor key portfolio health indicators, including repayment rates, PAR (Portfolio at Risk), and default trends; provide data-driven reports to senior management.
Risk Mitigation: Conduct hands-on field visits to verify high-value clients and troubleshoot regions with rising delinquency rates.
Qualifications and Skills:
Mandatory Experience
Proven Tenure: 5–8 years of deep experience specifically in Market Loans, Trader Loans, and Daily Repayment models.
Sector Background: Prior leadership experience within Microfinance Banks (MFBs) or Cooperative Societies is essential.
Portfolio Mastery: A verifiable track record of managing large, short-term loan portfolios with high velocity.
Core Competencies
Operational Grit: Hands-on experience in field operations and aggressive debt collections.
Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of daily cash-flow business models and informal sector economics.
Leadership: Exceptional people management skills, particularly in leading field-based teams in high-pressure environments.
