Job Description:

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership to achieve the bank’s mission, vision, and profitability objectives.
  • Develop and execute innovative business strategies that enhance market share, digital transformation, and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure strict compliance with CBN regulations, corporate governance standards, and all statutory requirements.
  • Oversee the development of products and services tailored to the financial needs of the target markets.
  • Strengthen credit risk management, portfolio quality, and financial performance.
  • Build and sustain a high-performing management team with clear succession planning.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with regulatory authorities, stakeholders, investors, and customers.
  • Drive performance culture across the organization through accountability, efficiency, and professionalism.
  • Excellent computer literacy and proficiency in modern banking technology and management systems.
  • Familiarity with Yewa and its business environment will be an added advantage.
  • Present periodic reports and strategic recommendations to the Board of Directors.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related fields; a Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in the financial services industry, at least 5 years in senior/executive management roles within a Microfinance or Deposit Money Bank.
  • Microfinance Certification Programme (MCP) or MCIB qualification is mandatory.
  • Professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, or equivalent are required.
  • Demonstrated competence in strategic management, credit administration, risk management, operations, and digital transformation.
  • Proven track record of driving growth, profitability, and innovation in a regulated financial institution.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and interpersonal skills with a high level of integrity.
  • Sound knowledge of CBN microfinance regulations and financial inclusion trends.
