Job Description:
We are seeking a high-performing and visionary Brand Manager to lead the strategic and creative direction of our milk and dairy portfolio. In the FMCG sector, dairy is a high-frequency, high-engagement category that requires a unique blend of nutritional storytelling and commercial rigor. You will be responsible for strengthening brand equity, driving consumer penetration, and accelerating business growth. The ideal candidate is a strategic powerhouse with a proven track record in the dairy industry, capable of translating complex consumer insights into "360°" marketing campaigns that win both at the shelf and in the heart of the home.
Requirements:
1. Portfolio Strategy & Positioning
Strategic Roadmap: Develop and execute long-term brand strategies that align with business objectives, focusing on premiumization and category expansion.
Brand Identity: Define and refine the brand’s unique value proposition, ensuring consistent messaging across all milk variants (powdered, liquid, evaporated).
Innovation Pipeline: Collaborate with R&D to lead the "concept-to-launch" process for new dairy products, ensuring they meet evolving nutritional trends.
2. Integrated Marketing & Campaign Leadership
360° Execution: Lead high-impact campaigns across ATL (TV, Radio, Out-of-Home), BTL (In-store activations, sampling), and Digital (Social media, influencer partnerships).
Consumer Engagement: Drive brand love through storytelling that connects with the everyday nutritional needs of families.
Agency Management: Brief and manage creative, media, and activation agencies to ensure world-class execution and brand consistency.
3. Performance Analytics & Market Intelligence
Health Metrics: Track and analyze Brand Health Trackers, Market Share data (Nielsen/Retail Audit), and ROI on marketing spend.
Insight Translation: Leverage consumer data and market research to identify competitive threats and "white space" opportunities in the dairy category.
Commercial Synergy: Partner with Sales and Trade Marketing to ensure brand plans are translated into winning secondary displays and "First Moment of Truth" (FMOT) victories.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education & Experience
Degree: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA is highly preferred.
Proven History: Minimum 5 years of brand management experience specifically within the FMCG sector, with a mandatory focus on Milk and Dairy products.
Track Record: Demonstrated success in launching new products and managing multi-million naira marketing budgets.
Core Competencies
Category Expertise: Deep understanding of dairy market dynamics, cold-chain vs. ambient logistics, and nutritional regulations.
Analytical Prowess: Ability to synthesize complex data into actionable commercial recommendations.
Leadership: Exceptional project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams (Sales, Supply Chain, Finance).
