Job Description:

We are seeking an efficient and proactive Facility Officer to ensure our factory infrastructure operates at peak performance. In this role, you will be the custodian of our furniture production environment, responsible for maintaining the integrity of factory buildings, specialized equipment, and critical utilities. Your focus will be on proactive maintenance, operational safety, and resource efficiency. You will play a vital role in ensuring that "downtime" is minimized by coordinating repairs, supervising vendors, and upholding world-class housekeeping and safety standards across our production lines and offices.

Requirements:

1. Utility & Equipment Continuity

• Infrastructural Integrity: Oversee the day-to-day maintenance of factory zones, offices, and warehouses to ensure a functional work environment.

• Utility Management: Ensure 24/7 functionality of essential utilities, including power grids, generators, water systems, and industrial compressors.

• Maintenance Coordination: Schedule and monitor routine inspections and servicing for factory equipment, ensuring zero disruption to the furniture production cycle.

2. Safety, Health & Environment (HSE)

• Regulatory Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations within the facility to protect staff and assets.

• Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify facility risks and structural hazards, implementing prompt resolution strategies before they impact operations.

• Emergency Readiness: Support and lead emergency preparedness protocols, acting as the primary responder for facility-related incidents.

3. Vendor Management & Operational Efficiency

• Vendor Supervision: Manage and evaluate the performance of external contractors, technicians, and service providers to ensure quality workmanship.

• Resource Optimization: Monitor waste management and general factory housekeeping to maintain a lean and efficient production floor.

• Administrative Documentation: Maintain precise records of maintenance logs, repair history, and facility-related expenses to support budget planning.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education & Technical Expertise

• Academic: HND or Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Building Technology, or a related field.

• Experience: 2–4 years of experience in facilities or maintenance management, preferably within a manufacturing or furniture production environment.

• Skillset: Solid foundational knowledge of industrial electrical systems, mechanical repair, and building maintenance.

• Autonomy: A self-starter who can manage the facility with minimal supervision and high accountability.
