Job Description:

We are seeking a methodical and highly organized Inventory Officer to join our team in Gbagi, Ibadan. In a fast-moving inventory environment, accuracy is the difference between profit and loss. You will be the primary custodian of our stock, ensuring that every item is accounted for, properly stored, and available when needed.

Your mission is to maintain 100% stock accuracy. You will be responsible for the end-to-end inventory lifecycle—from receiving shipments to performing reconciliations and generating usage reports for management. If you are an analytical professional with a "zero-discrepancy" mindset and a background in warehouse operations, we want you to lead our stock control efforts.

Requirements:

1. Stock Accuracy & Reconciliation

  • Record Governance: Maintain precise, real-time stock records, ensuring that the physical inventory matches our digital or manual ledgers at all times.

  • Regular Audits: Perform weekly and monthly inventory reconciliations and cycle counts to identify and resolve discrepancies immediately.

  • Loss Prevention: Implement strict controls to prevent theft, damage, or misplacement of products during handling and storage.

2. Supply Chain & Warehouse Logistics

  • Stock Level Monitoring: Continuously track usage summaries to identify fast-moving items and initiate re-orders to prevent costly stockouts.

  • Storage Optimization: Ensure that all products are labeled correctly and stored according to safety and handling standards (e.g., FIFO or LIFO methods).

  • Space Management: Organize the warehouse layout to maximize space utilization and improve the speed of stock retrieval.

3. Reporting & Management Support

  • Performance Reporting: Prepare and update detailed inventory reports, including cost records and daily usage summaries for management review.

  • Trend Analysis: Provide insights on stock movement patterns to help the management team make informed procurement decisions.

  • Record Keeping: Maintain a clean and audit-ready archive of all Goods Received Notes (GRN) and Waybills.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Education: Minimum of an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.

  • Experience: At least 1 year of hands-on experience in inventory management or warehouse operations.

  • Location: Must reside in Gbagi or its immediate environments in Ibadan.

Core Competencies

  • Analytical IQ: Exceptional record-keeping skills with the ability to spot errors in complex stock sheets.

  • Organization: A disciplined approach to warehouse arrangement and documentation.

  • Technical Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data entry and report generation.

  • Communication: Clear verbal skills for coordinating with the procurement and sales teams.

Salary

N65,000 - N70,000 monthly.
