Job Description:
We are seeking a methodical and highly accountable Store & Inventory Officer to oversee the end-to-end management of our warehouse assets. In this role, you will be the guardian of our stock, responsible for everything from the initial inspection of incoming goods to the precise issuance of materials for production or sales. You will play a vital role in minimizing "shrinkage" by conducting rigorous stock counts, reconciling discrepancies, and providing data-driven reports to management. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, physically energetic, and committed to maintaining a zero-error inventory system.
Requirements:
1. Goods Receipt & Quality Control
Inbound Inspection: Receive and meticulously inspect incoming goods against purchase orders and waybills to ensure quality and quantity compliance.
Strategic Warehousing: Organize and store goods according to safety standards and optimal space utilization (using FIFO/LIFO principles where applicable).
Documentation: Ensure all "Goods Received Notes" (GRN) are accurately processed and filed immediately.
2. Requisition & Material Issuance
Controlled Disbursement: Issue materials and stock only upon receipt of authorized and approved requisitions.
Real-time Tracking: Update the "Stock-Out" ledger instantly to ensure the digital inventory reflects physical reality at all times.
Asset Security: Enforce strict access control to the store area to prevent unauthorized removal of items.
3. Inventory Audit & Reporting
Stock Reconciliation: Conduct weekly and monthly physical stock counts; investigate and reconcile any discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
Level Monitoring: Monitor "Reorder Levels" to prevent stock-outs of critical materials and avoid overstocking.
Reporting: Prepare comprehensive inventory status reports, highlighting slow-moving items and expiration risks.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education & Experience
Academic: Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
Tenure: 1–4 years of hands-on experience in store-keeping, warehouse management, or inventory control.
Core Competencies
Numerical Accuracy: Strong mathematical skills for precise counting and reconciliation.
Organizational Mastery: Ability to maintain a clean, categorized, and highly efficient warehouse layout.
Integrity: High ethical standards with a commitment to transparency and asset protection.
Tech Literacy: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with inventory management software (ERP).
