Job Description:

1. Transaction Management & Accuracy

  • Payment Processing: Accurately execute customer transactions across multiple channels, including cash, credit/debit cards (POS), and digital transfers.

  • Billing Integrity: Ensure all items are correctly scanned and billed, providing customers with precise receipts and ensuring proper tracking for potential returns or exchanges.

  • Change Management: Maintain sharp attention to detail to guarantee correct change issuance and minimize cash handling errors.

2. Financial Reconciliation & Reporting

  • Cash Drawer Integrity: Maintain a perfectly balanced cash register throughout the shift; reconcile daily transactions against system reports and investigate any discrepancies immediately.

  • Audit Trail: Maintain and update comprehensive records of all sales, refunds, and exchanges, ensuring all documentation is filed according to company SOPs.

  • End-of-Day (EOD) Reporting: Generate concise daily summaries of transactions to support the accounting team in month-end closures.

3. Customer Relations & Service

  • Relationship Building: Use excellent interpersonal skills to resolve customer inquiries or complaints professionally, turning every transaction into a positive brand experience.

  • Team Synergy: Collaborate with floor staff and management to ensure a seamless flow of service during peak hours.

Requirements:

Core Competencies

  • Digital Literacy: Must be highly computer literate with the ability to learn new POS software quickly.

  • Communication: Exceptional oral and verbal communication skills to interact with a diverse customer base.

  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, great interpersonal skills, and a "safety-first" mindset regarding financial assets.

  • Attention to Detail: Proven ability to manage large volumes of data and cash without material errors.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education & Experience

  • Degree: Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a related field (Accounting, Business Administration, etc.).

  • Experience: At least 1 year of hands-on experience in a structured cashiering or retail finance role.

  • Age Bracket: Preferably between 20 – 30 years of age

Salary

N70,000 - N85,000 / Month.
