Well Fluid Services Limited is an indigenous Oil and Gas Service Company established in 2001. We deliver Technical Services to the Oil and Gas Industries across Africa.
Job Description:
We are seeking a seasoned and strategic General Manager (GM) to provide executive leadership across our diversified oilfield service portfolio. This role is designed for a high-caliber professional who can balance technical mastery in Surface Well Testing (SWT) and Early Production Facilities (EPF) with the commercial acumen required to scale a multi-disciplinary energy service company.
Reporting to the Board, you will oversee the entire operational backbone—from high-pressure flowback and produced water treatment to complex fabrication and NDT inspections. Your mission is to drive revenue growth, maintain world-class QHSSE standards, and lead our expansion into new markets with IOCs and marginal field operators.
Requirements:
1. Strategic Growth & Market Expansion
Strategic Roadmap: Develop and implement the company’s long-term strategy, defining annual revenue targets and business objectives.
Business Development: Lead high-level negotiations and approve major tender submissions for IOCs, EPC contractors, and marginal field operators.
Partnership Management: Establish and nurture strategic alliances that increase the company’s footprint in the Nigerian Oil & Gas sector.
2. Technical Operations & Asset Governance
Execution Excellence: Oversee the safe and efficient delivery of SWT, EPF installations, produced water treatment, and specialized fabrication projects.
Asset Stewardship: Approve the acquisition and maintenance of critical assets, including 3-phase test separators, 1502 choke manifolds, burner booms, and water treatment skids.
Operational KPIs: Monitor non-productive time (NPT), equipment utilization rates, and job margins to ensure maximum operational efficiency.
3. QHSSE, Financial & HR Governance
Safety Culture: Chair incident investigation panels and ensure 100% compliance with ISO standards (9001, 14001, 45001) and Nigerian regulatory requirements.
Financial Control: Approve annual budgets, manage cash flow, and exercise strict control over CAPEX and OPEX to protect project margins.
Workforce Development: Drive workforce planning and competency development, ensuring our personnel are trained to meet the rigorous demands of offshore and onshore operations.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Petroleum, or Chemical Engineering. (An MBA is a significant advantage).
Experience: 15+ years in the Oil & Gas industry, with at least 7 years in a senior management role.
Technical Depth: A strong, verifiable background in Surface Well Testing or EPF operations is mandatory.
Leadership: Proven ability to manage diverse departments including Finance, HR, ICT, Ops, and Business Development.
Core Competencies
Strategic Thinking: Ability to translate complex market data into actionable growth strategies.
Operational Rigor: Deep knowledge of high-risk job programs and mobilization planning.
