Job Description:

We are seeking a Maintenance Planning Advisor to provide expert strategic direction and elevate maintenance planning across our global upstream and downstream operations. This is a high-impact advisory role designed to shape a proactive framework that integrates Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) and predictive analytics into the heart of our asset management. You will serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) during critical project "Gate" milestones, leading Front End Execution Planning (FEEP) to identify risks early and ensure project feasibility. The ideal candidate is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in capital projects, capable of mentoring the next generation of planners while driving world-class reliability and compliance.

Requirements:

1. Strategic Maintenance Vision & Reliability

  • Framework Development: Advise on the development of maintenance strategies integrating Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA).

  • Predictive Analytics: Tailor predictive maintenance models to specific oil and gas assets to minimize unplanned downtime and maximize asset life cycles.

  • Performance Oversight: Monitor planning KPIs—including Schedule Compliance, Backlog Levels, MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures), and MTTR (Mean Time To Repair)—to recommend data-driven operational improvements.

2. Front End Execution Planning (FEEP) & Project Support

  • FEEP Coordination: Lead Phase 1 and Phase 2 FEEP efforts, facilitating workshops to identify execution issues at key "Select" and "Define" stage milestones.

  • Gate Governance: Coordinate the development of execution deliverables supporting the business case for Gate 1, Concept Select (Gate 2), and Gate 3 milestones.

  • Risk Mitigation: Define specific work programs to confirm project feasibility and delineate execution bases, ensuring all functional and project management stakeholders are aligned.

  • Execute Stage Support: Monitor project status during the "Execute" stage, providing SME support for schedule recovery planning, incentive plans, and Cold Eye Reviews.

3. Leadership, Audit & Mentorship

  • Technical Mentorship: Act as a lead mentor for new hires and transferees, guiding them through the CCAP (Capital Project Management) work processes.

  • Audit Leadership: Schedule and lead audits of Contractors, Suppliers, and Project Teams (PT) to ensure compliance with global execution standards.

  • Functional Alignment: Work across functions to identify and resolve complex execution issues, ensuring the quality of all work products produced within the FEEP process.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education & Experience

  • Academic Background: Master of Science (MS) in Engineering is highly preferred.

  • Industry Tenure: Extensive experience in the Oil & Gas industry, with a proven track record in a variety of project management and execution positions.

  • Leadership History: Prior leadership roles in managing large-scale capital projects across all phases of execution.

  • Global Exposure: Previous international assignments are highly valued; candidate must be flexible for international business travel as required.

Core Competencies

  • Subject Matter Expertise: Deep knowledge of execution planning deliverables, project reviews, and assessments (e.g., PEBRAs).

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to translate complex reliability data into long-term maintenance visions.

  • Coaching & Influence: Strong interpersonal skills to mentor experienced hires and influence senior stakeholders during Gate reviews.
