Job Description:
Are you a natural networker with a deep pulse on the Oil, Gas, and Energy sectors? We are seeking a high-performing Business Development Manager to lead our growth in the technical staffing and recruitment space. This is a strategic role for a B2B sales expert who can navigate the boardrooms of major energy firms, identify high-value engineering projects, and position our recruitment services as the solution to their talent gaps. If you have the negotiation finesse to close complex service contracts and the industry insight to forecast hiring trends, this is your platform to drive significant market impact.
Requirements:
1. Market Intelligence & Relationship Architecture
Strategic Prospecting: Identify and develop new client relationships within the upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors of Oil & Gas, as well as Renewable Energy.
Project Forecasting: Track upcoming capital projects and infrastructure developments to identify early-stage hiring opportunities and technical manpower needs.
Stakeholder Diplomacy: Lead high-level client meetings, building trust with HR Directors, Project Managers, and Procurement Leads.
2. Commercial Strategy & Proposal Leadership
Proposal Development: Lead the creation of winning technical and commercial proposals, ensuring our value proposition is tailored to the specific needs of energy projects.
Negotiation Excellence: Navigate complex Master Service Agreements (MSAs) and fee structures to secure profitable, long-term partnerships.
Brand Ambassadorship: Represent the firm at industry conferences and networking events, positioning us as the premier partner for energy-sector staffing.
3. Cross-Functional Synergy
Delivery Calibration: Collaborate closely with the internal Recruitment Consultants to ensure the "Sales Promise" matches our delivery capability.
Market Feedback Loop: Provide the recruitment team with real-time insights into changing skills demands and salary benchmarks within the energy market.
Account Growth: Perform regular account reviews to identify opportunities for service expansion (e.g., from permanent recruitment to managed services or payroll).
Qualifications and Skills:
Experience & Academic Background
Education: B.Sc. or HND in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
Tenure: Proven track record in Business Development or B2B Sales specifically within the Oil & Gas or Energy sectors.
Market Exposure: Prior exposure to recruitment, technical staffing, or engineering consultancy markets is highly preferred.
Core Competencies
Negotiation Mastery: Ability to handle complex objections and close high-value service contracts.
Energy Sector Knowledge: Deep understanding of the life cycle of energy projects and the technical roles (Engineering, HSE, Subsurface, etc.) involved.
Communication: Exceptional presentation and writing skills, with the ability to simplify technical solutions for diverse stakeholders.
Relationship Driven: A "farmer-hunter" mindset capable of both landing new accounts and nurturing them into long-term partnerships.
