Job Description:
- Record and post all daily financial transactions accurately.
- Maintain general ledgers, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies.
- Prepare and file all statutory tax returns (VAT, WHT, PAYE, CIT, etc.) in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Assist in budget preparation and expense monitoring.
- Maintain proper documentation and filing of all financial records.
- Support external audit processes and respond to auditor queries.
- Monitor cash flow and support management with financial insights.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Requirements:
- Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
- Strong knowledge of tax laws and statutory filing processes.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of HND/B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional qualification (ICAN/ACCA) is a must.
- Minimum of 7 years’ accounting experience, preferably in a trading company.
