Job Description:
- Plan and oversee the safe and efficient loading, unloading, securing, and storage of cargo on vessels and offshore platforms.
- Coordinate marine logistics with vessel crews, rig personnel, and shore-based teams to ensure timely cargo movement.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, IMDG Code, and maritime/port authority requirements during all cargo operations.
- Inspect and maintain cargo handling equipment, lifting gear, and storage facilities to ensure safe working conditions.
- Supervise and train cargo handling personnel, ensuring competence in safe and efficient operations.
- Maintain accurate records of cargo manifests, inventories, and operational reports for management review.
Requirements:
- 7–10 years’ experience in marine cargo handling within oil & gas, offshore, or marine logistics operations, with specific FSO/FPSO experience.
- Minimum Class 3 Certificate of Competency (COC) / Officer of the Watch (OOW) Navigation.
- Strong knowledge of offshore lifting operations, IMDG compliance, and marine safety standards.
- Certification in BOSIET/HUET, H2S, and Banksman/Slinger (Level 3 or equivalent).
- Proven ability to coordinate multi-stakeholder logistics operations in challenging environments.
- Excellent documentation, communication, and supervisory skills.
