Job Description:

The Derrickman (DM/BESL certified) is responsible for performing drilling support duties in the derrick, ensuring proper handling of tubulars, mud systems, and equipment. The role involves working at heights, monitoring drilling fluids, and assisting the Driller in maintaining safe, efficient, and continuous drilling operations in compliance with BESL certification requirements and company safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work from the derrick (monkey board) to guide and handle drill pipes, casing, and tubulars during tripping operations.

• Monitor and maintain drilling fluid levels, properties, and circulation systems.

• Operate and maintain mud pumps, shakers, and related mud system equipment.

• Inspect derrick equipment and ensure safe functioning of elevators, tongs, and other lifting tools.

• Assist Driller in monitoring well conditions and supporting well control procedures.

• Perform housekeeping, safety checks, and routine maintenance of derrick and mud system areas.

• Ensure compliance with company HSE policies, safe working practices, and use of fall protection.

• Participate in well control drills, toolbox talks, and rig safety meetings.

• Report any hazards, unsafe acts, or equipment malfunctions promptly.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of mud circulation and well support systems.

• Ability to work safely at heights under demanding conditions.

• Strong hazard awareness and safety compliance.

• Team player with good coordination skills.

• Physical fitness and endurance.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Interested candidates should possess relevant qualifications
• 4 years of experience.
