Job Description:
Lead and supervise the engine room team to ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all propulsion and auxiliary machinery.
Plan and oversee maintenance activities for engines, generators, pumps, and related mechanical and electrical systems in line with schedules and manufacturer guidelines.
Monitor engine performance and operating parameters, quickly troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements, including pollution prevention and emission control standards.
Train and mentor engine room personnel to maintain high technical competence and operational discipline.
Maintain accurate records of engine operations, maintenance activities, and spare parts inventory for management reporting.
Requirements:
7 to 10 years of experience in marine engineering or a related field.
Minimum Class 3 Certificate of Competency (COC) or Officer of the Watch (OOW) certification in Marine Engineering.
Experience working on FSO/FPSO vessels.
