Job Description:
We are seeking a highly organized and disciplined Warehouse Manager to oversee our central distribution hub. You will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of goods—from seamless receipt and strategic storage to the rapid dispatch of inventory to our retail outlets. This role demands a leader who can balance the "hands-on" reality of floor operations with the analytical rigor of inventory reconciliation and performance reporting. Your goal is to ensure 100% stock accuracy, maintain a gold standard for safety, and lead a high-performing team to meet the demands of a fast-paced retail supply chain.
Requirements:
1. Inventory Governance & Accuracy
Inbound/Outbound Orchestration: Plan and monitor the efficient receipt, put-away, and dispatch of all goods.
Stock Integrity: Drive regular cycle counts and full physical reconciliations to ensure the Warehouse Management System (WMS) perfectly reflects physical stock.
Documentation: Ensure all delivery notes, invoices, and stock transfer documents are processed accurately and on time.
2. Operational Efficiency & Safety
Process Optimization: Implement and refine warehouse layouts and "pick-path" strategies to minimize lead times and maximize space utilization.
Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict health and safety (HSE) regulations and housekeeping procedures to ensure a zero-accident environment.
Quality Control: Oversee the picking and packing processes to ensure that retail outlets receive the correct items in pristine condition.
3. Team Leadership & Collaboration
People Management: Supervise, train, and mentor warehouse staff, managing schedules and performance benchmarks to ensure peak productivity.
Cross-Functional Synergy: Partner with Procurement, Logistics, and Retail managers to align inventory levels with market demand and promotional cycles.
Reporting: Utilize WMS data to generate actionable reports on warehouse throughput, stock aging, and labor efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education & Experience
Academic: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Tenure: Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in warehouse management, specifically within the Retail, FMCG, or Distribution sectors.
Leadership: Demonstrated success in managing large teams and coordinating complex logistics schedules.
Technical & Core Competencies
Systems Proficiency: Hands-on experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and the Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel).
Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve logistical bottlenecks and stock discrepancies under high-pressure conditions.
Organizational Skills: Extraordinary attention to detail and a structured approach to workflow management.
