Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically savvy Procurement Officer to lead the end-to-end purchasing cycle for our high-rise facility operations. You will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and delivering high-quality electromechanical and building products essential for the maintenance of premium infrastructure. The ideal candidate is a master negotiator who understands the technical specifications of building systems and can manage complex vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective, timely, and compliant delivery of goods.
Requirements:
1. End-to-End Purchasing Cycle
Strategic Sourcing: Identify and vet manufacturers and vendors specializing in high-end electromechanical components (HVAC, elevators, electrical systems) and building materials.
PO Management: Accurately prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) based on facility maintenance schedules and emergency requirements.
Logistics Oversight: Track every order from dispatch to delivery, ensuring zero downtime in building operations due to delayed parts.
2. Commercial Negotiation & Vendor Governance
Cost Engineering: Negotiate pricing, credit terms, and service level agreements (SLAs) to secure the best value for the organization.
Vendor Benchmarking: Continuously review and analyze the vendor landscape to identify more efficient supply options or higher-quality manufacturers.
Quality Assurance: Partner with site engineers to ensure that all procured electromechanical products meet the rigorous safety and quality standards required for high-rise environments.
3. Financial Control & Compliance
Budget Stewardship: Monitor procurement spend against departmental budgets, identifying opportunities for cost savings and bulk-purchase discounts.
Policy Adherence: Ensure all procurement activities comply with internal company policies, ethical standards, and local regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education & Experience
Academic: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Tenure: 3+ years of core experience in procurement or supply chain management (experience in Construction, MEP, or Facility Management is a strong advantage).
Software: Proficient in ERP/Procurement software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
Core Competencies
Negotiation Mastery: Proven ability to manage complex contract negotiations and secure favorable pricing.
Technical Literacy: Ability to understand technical specifications for building maintenance products (pumps, chillers, electrical switchgears, etc.).
Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset capable of resolving supply chain bottlenecks and quality disputes.
Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills for managing a diverse database of local and international suppliers.
