We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Description:
- Responsible for providing stock management support for the assigned lab offices and entity
- Monitor and analyse stock to identify potential shortages and/or surpluses and propose remedial actions to the technical administrator for validation.
- Initiate material requirement planning (MRP) and the purchasing process in close communication with technical administrators.
- Periodically analyse and evaluate material requirement planning parameters and propose changes for Validation by the technical administrator to support operations and optimise stock value
- Process special stock movements (stock transfers, loans) as requested by technical administrators and hierarchy.
- Process the integration of materials returned from the field or contractors in liaison with the Technical Administrator and the Logistics base.
- Ensure that user requests are satisfied promptly through the running of periodic reports on open STOs requests and liaise with warehouse personnel to enhance the speedy processing of pending documents.
- Track material reception, goods issue and quantity of materials stored in contractor premises - third party items, and reconcile with SAP stock balances
- Analyse items with work order in WECO/TECO and work order statuses, and liaise with users and the purchasing team to stop ongoing replenishment when necessary.
- Participate in internal and external audits, support material reconciliations and provide relevant documentation as may be necessary.
- Produce stock monthly consumption status reports for assigned lab offices before duet/triplet meetings.
- Ensure the duet/triplet meetings hold as scheduled to review ongoing stock actions, identify blocking points / Improvement opportunities and implement mitigation actions, follow-up action plans and ensure close out of same.
- Ensure that the accurate status of all outstanding orders is always available. Follow up on purchase orders for assigned lab offices pending delivery and send reminders to buyers where necessary.
- Participates in inventories as necessary and supports the reconciliation of variances between physical stock and SAP records, including materials stored at third-party.
- Review Open Purchase Requisitions and Purchase orders and propose for cancellation materials that may no longer be needed for operations in collaboration with the entities (Domain) and the procurement department.
- Periodically analyse stock (Logistics delivery efficiency reports) to identify factors contributing to declining stock service levels.
- Monitor the processing of stock issues for materials required by the operations team until physical handover to Logistics for delivery to the field.
- Follow materials storage conditions in coordination with technical administrators and the warehouse team, and initiate actions when inspection, repair and/or moving are needed
Requirements:
- University degree or equivalent with minimum 5 years’ experience in Logistics, stock control and warehousing, while Membership of relevant Supply Chain professional bodies or Operational functions will be an added advantage.
- Good experience with Computerised Stock and Procurement management systems, including at least 2 years of deep experience with SAP.
- Familiar with UNISUP, PM, MM and BW modules; and with COMPANY stock management policies in general.
- Good command of the English language and excellent communication skills.
