Job Description:

We are seeking a high-energy Sales & Customer Service Representative to drive the adoption of our 5kW and 10kW Solar Home Systems (SHS). In Nigeria's evolving energy landscape, you aren't just selling a product; you are providing energy independence. Your mission is to generate high-quality leads, qualify them based on technical energy needs, and guide them through the conversion funnel.

The ideal candidate blends a hunter’s mindset for outbound sales with the empathy of a customer success professional. You will be the first point of contact, helping families and businesses transition to renewable energy by simplifying complex technical specifications into clear, value-driven solutions.

Requirements:

1. Lead Engineering & CRM Management

  • Outbound Engagement: Execute strategic outbound call campaigns to prospective and existing customers to promote solar solutions.

  • Lead Qualification: Assess prospects based on energy consumption patterns, roof space (where applicable), and financial affordability.

  • Pipeline Integrity: Maintain meticulous records of lead status and customer interactions using CRM tools or MS Excel.

2. Technical Sales Consultation

  • Load Assessment: Evaluate customer load requirements (appliances, peak usage) to recommend the optimal 5kW or 10kW configuration.

  • Product Education: Explain system specifications—including inverter efficiency, battery cycles, and solar panel degradation—in easy-to-understand language.

  • Solution Mapping: Address technical objections regarding installation requirements and maintenance to build customer confidence.

3. Conversion & Performance Excellence

  • Deal Closure: Follow up consistently on qualified leads to drive conversions and ensure a smooth handover to the technical installation teams.

  • Market Insights: Provide data-driven feedback on customer demand trends and frequently asked technical questions to help refine marketing strategies.

  • Target Achievement: Consistently meet or exceed daily outbound call volumes and monthly conversion quotas.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience: 2–4 years of experience in sales or customer service, preferably within the Renewable Energy or Power sector.

Technical IQ: Strong proficiency in MS Excel (for lead tracking) and a solid understanding of Nigeria’s power sector dynamics.

Preference: Female candidates are preferred to maintain a balanced gender representation within the team.

Core Competencies

Persuasive Communication: Ability to build rapport quickly and handle objections with poise.

Technical Aptitude: Ability to learn and explain solar technicalities (Inverters, PPS, Lithium-ion batteries) accurately.

Self-Motivation: A target-driven mindset with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
