Job Description:
We are seeking a high-caliber Procurement Specialist to lead our end-to-end sourcing operations. In this role, you are the gatekeeper of the company’s supply chain efficiency. Your mission is to transform business requirements into high-value procurement strategies, ensuring that our projects and operations are supported by high-quality materials and services at the most competitive costs.
The ideal candidate possesses a "technical-commercial" mindset, capable of understanding complex manufacturing or engineering specifications while mastering the art of negotiation. Requirements:
1. Strategic Sourcing & Tendering
Needs Assessment: Deeply understand internal business requirements and translate them into effective procurement strategies.
RFx Management: Author and float Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and manage the end-to-end tendering process with precision.
Vendor Selection: Lead the rigorous evaluation of vendor responses, balancing technical specifications with commercial viability to identify the best-fit partners.
2. Commercial Negotiation & Contract Management
Value Engineering: Negotiate contracts and pricing with vendors to ensure "Value for Money" without compromising on technical quality or lead times.
Contract Governance: Oversee the drafting and execution of contracts, ensuring all terms protect the company's interests and project timelines.
Policy Stewardship: Ensure 100% adherence to internal procurement policies, ethical standards, and regulatory procedures.
3. Stakeholder & Vendor Relationship Management
Vendor Development: Identify, vet, and maintain a pool of high-performing vendors to ensure supply chain resilience.
Internal Collaboration: Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams to ensure procurement activities are perfectly aligned with operational milestones.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, ideally within the Manufacturing or Engineering industry.
Technical IQ: Proven ability to read and interpret technical specifications for industrial materials and services.
Core Competencies
Negotiation Mastery: Ability to drive hard-bargain negotiations while maintaining ethical standards and long-term vendor partnerships.
Analytical Thinking: Strong ability to conduct cost-benefit analyses and evaluate complex vendor bids.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills for managing diverse stakeholders and global vendors.
