Job Description:
We are seeking a highly organized and commercially astute Hotel Procurement Officer to lead the end-to-end sourcing operations for our property. In the hospitality industry, procurement is the backbone of guest satisfaction; from the freshness of the kitchen ingredients to the quality of guest room linens, your work directly impacts our brand reputation.
Your mission is to manage the acquisition of all direct and indirect goods and services, ensuring 100% operational uptime while maximizing cost-effectiveness. You will act as a strategic negotiator, a logistics coordinator, and a compliance guardian, maintaining a "zero-defect" supply chain. If you have 5+ years of experience in procurement—ideally within the hospitality sector—and a track record of driving significant cost savings, we want you to join our team.
Requirements:
1. Strategic Sourcing & Contract Management
Category Management: Source high-quality materials and services across multiple hotel functions (F&B, Housekeeping, Engineering, and Admin).
Negotiation & Value Engineering: Establish and manage favorable contracts with approved suppliers, focusing on "Total Cost of Ownership" rather than just the initial price.
Supplier Governance: Maintain an approved vendor list (AVL) and conduct regular performance audits to ensure suppliers meet our rigorous quality and delivery standards.
2. Supply Chain & Logistics Coordination
Traceability & Quality Control: Coordinate the movement and delivery of goods, ensuring that all items meet quality specifications upon arrival and are stored according to safety standards.
Inventory Alignment: Collaborate closely with the Store Manager and HODs to process timely replenishments and prevent "out-of-stock" scenarios during peak occupancy.
Process Efficiency: Implement and enforce procurement controls to ensure transparency, accountability, and a "clean" audit trail for every transaction.
3. Financial Planning & Analytics
Budget Oversight: Prepare and manage the procurement budget, providing management with accurate forecasts and savings reports.
Cost-Saving Initiatives: Proactively identify market trends and alternative sourcing strategies to reduce operational expenses without compromising guest comfort.
Cross-Functional Synergy: Partner with the Accounts department to ensure seamless documentation flow and timely supplier payments.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, with a strong preference for candidates from the Hospitality industry.
Technical IQ: High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with modern Procurement/ERP software.
Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of local trade legislation, contract law, and corporate procurement policies.
Core Competencies
Negotiation Mastery: Proven ability to influence suppliers and secure market-leading credit terms and pricing.
Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret complex data to support financial evaluations and decision-making.
Organization: Exceptional time management skills with the ability to handle multiple procurement requests simultaneously.
Integrity: Uncompromising professional ethics and attention to detail.
