Job Description:
We are seeking a commercially astute and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to join our operations in Lagos. In this role, you will be the guardian of the company’s supply chain, ensuring that every naira spent translates into high-quality goods and services delivered on time. Your mission is to balance cost-efficiency with uncompromising quality through strategic sourcing and rigorous vendor management.

Requirements:
1. Strategic Sourcing & Negotiation
Vendor Discovery: Identify and vet reliable suppliers to build a robust and diverse vendor database.
Commercial Negotiation: Prepare comprehensive proposals and request for quotes (RFQs), negotiating terms, conditions, and pricing to maximize value for the organization.
Agreement Management: Draft and issue purchase orders (POs) and service level agreements (SLAs) with precision and legal clarity.
2. Quality Control & Performance Monitoring
Supplier Governance: Monitor the performance of active suppliers, ensuring they meet delivery timelines and service standards.
Inspection & Resolution: Inspect all incoming items to evaluate quality against specifications; proactively resolve shortcomings or returns with vendors.
Risk Mitigation: Identify potential supply chain disruptions and develop contingency plans to ensure operational continuity.
3. Analytics & Resource Planning
Market Intelligence: Analyze industry trends and demand patterns to support senior management in developing future-proof sourcing strategies.
Systems Integration: Utilize purchasing and resource planning systems (ERP) to track expenditures and automate the procurement lifecycle.
Reporting: Maintain meticulous records of all transactions for internal audits and financial reporting.
Qualifications and Skills:
Professional Profile
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Experience: 0–10 years of experience (open to both high-potential entry-level candidates and experienced specialists).
Software Mastery: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hands-on experience with business application software, purchasing systems, or ERPs (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Odoo).
