Job Description:

We are seeking a technically proficient and disciplined Press Manager to lead our printing operations. In the world of high-volume paper packaging, the press is the heart of the business; your mission is to ensure that heart beats with absolute precision.

You will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of the press environment—from managing daily production schedules and ink/substrate inventory to enforcing Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) for food-grade safety. If you are a leader who balances a "zero-waste" mindset with a deep mastery of color consistency and machine efficiency, we want you to drive our production excellence.

Requirements:

1. Operational Excellence & Flexographic/Offset Mastery

  • Production Architecture: Plan and execute rigorous production schedules, ensuring optimal machine utilization while meeting strict delivery timelines.

  • Technical Supervision: Manage the daily operations of flexographic and offset presses, ensuring perfect print registration and color consistency.

  • Asset Stewardship: Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules and lead the rapid response to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime.

2. Quality Control & Food-Grade Compliance

  • Regulatory Rigor: Ensure all printed materials meet the specific brand standards and food-grade packaging requirements essential for our QSR and FMCG clients.

  • Wastage Mitigation: Monitor material usage (ink, paper, plates) and drive aggressive waste reduction initiatives to enhance overall equipment efficiency (OEE).

  • GMP Enforcement: Implement and enforce a clean, organized press environment in strict compliance with safety regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices.

3. Team Leadership & Manpower Optimization

  • Performance Culture: Supervise, train, and mentor press operators, fostering a culture of accountability and high-performance across all shifts.

  • Resource Allocation: Effectively manage manpower distribution to ensure consistent output and seamless shift transitions.

  • Supply Chain Synergy: Maintain a "just-in-time" availability of all production consumables to ensure uninterrupted operations.

Qualifications and Skills:

Professional Profile

  • Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Printing Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory role within a printing or FMCG packaging environment.

  • Domain Expertise: Strong hands-on knowledge of flexographic and/or offset printing processes.

  • Advantage: Prior experience with QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) or food-grade packaging standards.

Core Competencies

  • Technical Problem Solving: Ability to diagnose and correct print defects and mechanical issues in real-time.

  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to track productivity metrics and implement data-driven process improvements.

  • Leadership: Exceptional interpersonal skills to maintain discipline and mentor technical staff.
